And I know it was the Advanced screen because it shows a different interface for deleting a post, which is when I first noticed I could delete a post.

FWIW, you can actually edit posts that way too. They save under that method.

EDIT: The proof is in the "Edited by".
Well I'll be damned. You're right. I just went up to my post near the top of the page, and was able to edit it, with the time stamp currently there as proof. Nice find! I'll actually be able to go back and edit mistakes on the fly again.

Weird addition to this ... in some threads, I hit Edit Post and I get taken straight to the Advanced screen. In others, I have to hit it twice. It may be related to threads that were started before the forum upgrade versus threads that were started post-upgrade.

What browser are you guys using? I've had no issues at all with Firefox 3.x or Firefox 4.x and I edit my stuff all the time (usually quickly enough where it doesn't even show up as an edit).

Edit: And I just went back, and edited this in after a few minutes and it's working perfectly fine. Takes me to the advanced post section and everything immediately. Not sure what the issue is.

Hmm... the quick edit feature doesn't appear to be working for me at all either. Editing works after a few minutes where when you click the edit post button it takes you directly to the advanced section but not the quick edit stuff at all. Weird.

So when you click Edit Post, you go straight to the Advanced screen automatically? Has that always been the case? That would be a rather significant difference.

EDIT: There does seem to be a fundamental difference between Edit Post behavior for Firefox users and other browsers.

I believe I now have the Edit capability working properly. To fix it, I had to recreate the Bullish skin (now called Bullish v2). I deleted the original Bullish skin and set the v2 to the default which should set everyone to that as well.

If you're still having problems editing, first make sure that you're on Bullish v2 (look at the bottom of the page) and if it still doesn't work, let me know.

Just for the record, I don't see the option anymore to change the skin at the bottom of the page, if one wanted to switched from Bullish v2 to something else.

The very bottom bar, where it says

Contact Us The Gaming Tailgate Archive Top
On the left side of that bar, there is usually a drop down menu to select what skin you want to use if you want something other than the default. However, it's not there at the moment, so settings or something got changed somewhere that is disabling it from showing up.

Hmmm... interesting. I assume that since I don't have any other skins available as selection for users, it hides that. I'll enable the "Default" skin for now (which also should work properly).

It's there now. I guess that is it does. If there isn't multiple skins to choose from, it automatically will hide it, at least that's what appears to be the case.

I don't know if this is known, but if you select the Default skin, it doesn't have the normal header at the top. It just says vBulletin.

That's interesting. Usually the forum installation replaces the header with an image of your choice. I guess it quite literally means "Default" in this case.

Well, for the Default, to ensure that it worked properly I actually had to have the software create a fresh skin from scratch (no customizations to ensure nothing was broken). It obviously did so using just the vBulletin logo. Making the default as a selection is 100% temporary. In fact, I'm working on a Bullish v2 Fixed width style and once it's complete, I'll hide the default.
