Not a great online game, but it's a shooter so you can bag a few hundred achievements easily on it
Or just trade it in to Best Buy for $12 credit![]()

I have a question.
What is the benefit of buying the download version of a game? For example Gamestop has Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor the disk for sale for $59.99, which I can trade back for credit at a later date if I'd like. They also sell the download version of the same game for $60.00, why could it cost more for the download version?
I have no idea why they are not priced the same. The benefits of buying a digital download are:
1. You don't have to go to the store.
2. The game is tied to your account (at least with PSN) so that it can always be re-installed should your system bite the dust. With a disc, it is possible to lose it or ruin it.
3. No disc means no getting up to change discs.
I prefer digital downloads but I never sell or trade my games in.

Yep, this is why digital works for me. My entire gaming life, I have only traded four games in. Those being Madden 09, Madden 10, NCAA 09 and NCAA 10.
By the time I stop playing a certain game for good, its trade in value is less than a dollar. I still play 360 games that came out 6+ years ago.
So for me, buying digital (especially for non-sports titles) works since I can just buy the game at any given moment straight from the console instead of having to go out into whatever the weather outside is and buy it at a store.
And now with the PS4 and Xbox One, being able to actually pre-order games and pre-install them days or weeks before the game is even released, especially as games often have to be installed from the disc anyways, it makes it much easier and much quicker to jump into a game right away on release day rather than having to go out to a midnight release or wait until later in the day for UPS to drop off the game or go to a store to buy it.
I trade all the time so I hate digital lol. When I finish a game there are very few I replay.
Shadow of mordor will be $25 on black Friday. Digital sucks for deals compared to disc. Is there a black Friday thread?
I agree, I trade games in and think it's a cool way to atleast get some of my money back. I was talking to the guy at Gamestop, when I bought the Xbox 1 bundle with AC Black Flag and Unity, he said they are both digital downloads, I asked him so I guess once I'm done with them I can't trade them in and they will take up my HD?
He said yes and no, you will not be able to trade them in and if you no longer want them on your HD you can delete them but they will be in the cloud and you can re-download them at any time....I asked him if in the future it (the cloud) would shut down a place like gamestop...he said, yeah pretty much....
And yes, we need a black Friday thread. Shadow of Mordor looks cool!
In the future I'm wanting to get the Witcher 3, Tom Clancy The Division, Rainbow Six Siege.

Because one of those has competition, the other doesn't. Actually, it makes zero sense that one is $59.99 versus $60, but over time the physical disc will drop in price much faster than the digital copy, due to competition and who sets the price.
I think it was NHL 12? Maybe 13? That finally went on sale below $59.99 last week on the PS Store.![]()

Here is another "strange pricing" strategy.
I look on Gamestop.com they have NEW copies of Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor for Xbox 1 and PS4 on sale for $49.99, on sale from $59.99 USED copies are $54.99.
I called up there and asked, are the used copies REALLY more than NEW copies? He said yes.
I used my gamestop rewards points to print out a $10 off coupon and bought a new copy for $39.99, I still have no idea why a used copy would be more than a New copy.
I must have missed that lecture in micro-economics.![]()
'Cause they're stupid, lol.

Sounds like a good price. I'm not so sure about waiting in long lines, getting up super early to save $15. I bought it (Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor) at Gamestop for $39 for PS4. I fired it up today and played for about 1 hour. It is pretty cool. I haven't made it very far in the actual story line but I did walk around and fight like crazy! I'm sure there is a lot to this game but if you're looking for a good game, with super nice graphics where you can walk around, run, jump, be stealthy, and kill others with a big ass sword then this is it. It's really cool to sneak up from behind others and cut and slice the daylights out of them. After so many kills I earned power up points which allowed me to buy extra kill styles, now once I daze the other person/thing/org I can press Triangle + Circle and it does a fancy two-hand "home-run type" swing with the sword to lop their head off. It definitely is a very graphic game.
I haven't played a game in a while where I looked up and was like WOAH that was an hour!???
