Powerhouse OD - General Discussion Thread

oneback, on the first page of settings for the OD (after you pick your school) thier is an option above 'custom conferences' to import teambuilder schools. You import the tosu then do everything else like dynasty house rules (sliders/rec difficulty) etc...and start up the OD, from inside the OD you send out invites to the rest of us, and the rest of us will be prompted to pick our own teams (for some reason the commish does not pick what team each person takes).

One question i do have, will tosu1995 be replacing the regular tosu? like we will we just rate everyone on tosu2011 at 30 or something?

As for bringing in TB teams, I haven't messed with that but I'm sure there's a way.

Without being able to upload an offline dynasty I may not be able to update the run/pass ratios. I guess we'll see once we get started.

1995 OSU will be replacing 2011 OSU.

Trying to figure out what offense I wanna run with Oklahoma/Oregon State.. maybe the pistol? I like Ohio's playbook, but I wish it had one or two I-Form formations..

I'm going with Oklahoma, actually, for sure. Not sure what offense I want to run yet. Considering Run & Shoot (SMU PB), Multiple (Oklahoma's/Ohio St PB), Pistol (Ohio/Indiana PB) and Pro (Tulane/Syracuse).

The Pistol worries me since Landry Jones doesn't have the speed to pull off the option that well (65 SPD, 80 ACC, 45 BTK, 59 CAR). However, he can throw the ball from any formation pretty well (93 THP, 88 THA).

We could certainly do that. I'm hoping to be home around 7:30, and then I should be working on the team by 8. So by 9ish is when I'm expecting to have the team done, based on how fast the players were going this morning.

Just a straight swap, using Import Teambuilder Schools. There are a couple of players that I'm not replacing on OSU's roster with 1995 players, so I'll just be rating those guys as 40 OVR Seniors, so they'll graduate with the first class.

I can't speak for Online Dynasty, Oneback, but for offline there are two different settings to pick ... one for "Import Teambuilder Schools" and one for "Custom Conferences". Unlike previous years, it's not a Menu item. It's down at the bottom of the screen as a button you press, while you're at the screen where you pick your team. I think you would want to import the 1995 team first, then do the Custom Conferences. Just for sanity.

Snoop, I discovered last night through testing that using Import Teambuilder will eliminate the rivalry between PSU and OSU. I can live with this ... hopefully. I know last year there wasn't a huge difference between scheduling a visit for a rivalry game and scheduling for a conference game. I'm hoping that continues. I don't want every visit hinging on OSU vs Michigan in Week 13, lol.

i also got an email saying i had successfully used my online pass and now have access to unlimited teambuilder slots?

its all linked to my email but i did not do this?

What email address did that come from? Wonder if it's a database issue (ie masseffect's email is somehow linked to yours or something) or if it's a spam/fishing attempt.

I got 2 earlier today. They both were sent to my normal e-mail address that I registered for my account. One was saying thanks for activating and the other was saying I haven't activated it.

yea same with me, it was from ea support email "do not respond' etc..

I think I have found an offense, at worst it will be atleast one of the offenses I'll run.

And I have settled on a defense as well. Had to change PB's because VT does not have the defense ASU had.
