i think i posted about us buying a new house? if not... well i have now lol... anyways... charter cable is coming tuesday to make our house "serviceable"... i figured i would have had this done... we bought one thats in a pretty rural area, and the house is secluded nicely with a tad over an acre surrounded by trees... ANY WHO...
i guess... either boot me... or wait on me... and skip past me... im eating up practice mode, but... i can already tell i should have picked UGA... or Auburn... but the Ducks will be nice... just not exactly what i was hoping for... especially when i get the update and Masoli gets the boot... ive not even been practicing/playing with him so that i dont develop reliability issues... lol
anyways... everyone's call... this REALLY SUCKS... b/c i can only tether my droid for net...
PS... im trying to find a way to get this tethering to work on PS3... if anyone out there can hook me up a tut on it... i will hop on and do that... im getting 1.6-2.2MB download and 400-725KB upload... so its not like ridiculous... but definitely not cable modem 8MB standard service... but im working on it boys...

The reason why I asked for your PSN is because when trying to send you a invite I get an error that states, "That user does not have an EA account". Now I assume you haven't gone online yet with NCAA 11 so that may be the issue as I am fairly certian I cannot invite you to an OD unless you've registered for Online Access.
Here is the only video I could find on tethering your driod to give your PS3 internet access. Its actually using your computer to share your internet connection but it should allow you to sign in and get your pre-season stuff done then we can wait until Tuesday for you to finish week one.

the youtube vid the guy is using a wifi tether... which can only be used if you root your phone... which... even i dont want to do... just b/c i have insurance on it, etc etc... i dont want to void out anything i would get if i drop the phone, or it craps on me...
ill keep looking but im sure that i will be waiting until after tuesday... ive waited this long to get someone from charter out here (almost a month now that we have been living here and asking them about service) i guess i can wait a few more days... and thats based on if the guy says that i can even do anything... im not even sure what there reasoning is that i am not serviceable... 2 people live within 200 yards of me and both have charter digital cable/internet... so who knows...

im glad u centrally located to most of usi cant imagine being in the sticks in cali and getting a good connection.
pre-season stuff doesnt really matter, u can let someone use your login and put ur ea code in and join the OD and pick your team for you, then you could recruit week 1 (and oneback could give u a bye week for week 1) not sure if you know anyone well enough to do that for u
Another option, to me, would be to go ahead and press forward, play a game or two while Guru's waiting ... then start the dynasty over when he's online. Get some experience with how recruiting against each other will work, etc.
Just a thought.
EDIT: Of course, part of this is that, unlike the rest of you, I've yet to play a game, lol.

id rather not waste the recruits i have right now i doubt i will be in this position again, but its up to the group, i wont bother playing the first few weeks if its just for fun
I am up to whatever everyone is up for.
I would say have him get somebody to accept the invite for him, or set up a dummy PSN account and accept it. Then let him log on there and recruit from the web. Then give him a bye for week 1.
I'm definitely not voting for starting over....I've taped up and shielded all my players....switched some numbers (#10 and #20 are off-limits)....and provided neckrolls and towels to certain players. It's always tough to do the kick-off roster....but it makes it easier to maintain when I only have to do in-coming freshmen for the future.

Well Papa, at least you have the luxury of knowing what equipment to set. I have to go back to the 1995, 96 and 98 media guides.

I setup my players equipment based on pictures. Google is your friend. I woke up way too early for a Saturday and didn't want to wake up the family. I setup the depth chart, redshirts, formation subs. I think I've gone through and swapped out players on my recruiting board 4 times now.
I'm ready to go!
