scoring more points in a game wins championships. Now of course you want both units to do well, but again, no defense has ever lead the league in scoring. Defense can put you in a better position to help the offense score points and win, but they cant be relied upon for point production. Keeping the other offense from scoring more definitely helps, but its offense that scores or gets closer to the red zone for the kicker. ...I'm just having fun with the sports talk. Not trying to be dogmatic
defense can put you in a better position for the possibility of winning- nothing more- nothing less
