After weeks of community speculation, this afternoon EA SPORTS NHL Producer Sean Ramjagsingh released the full feature set for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, confirming doubts that the popular EA SPORTS Hockey League and GM Connected modes will not be available in NHL 15. It is worth nothing that Online Team Play will be added to NHL 15 in a future content update.

While losing features from last-gen to current-gen is always discouraging, this news stings even more given that the NHL development team did not put out a PS4/XB1 version last year at console launch as they worked towards "developing a best-in-class hockey experience for new platforms in the future."

A point of concern since the EA Access service was announced, the actual amount of pre-release gametime with Madden NFL 15 will be "six gameplay hours." This comes via the EA Access Twitter account in response to a question from an assumed customer of the service.

EA Access costs $4.99 a month (or $30 a year) and allows users to play older EA titles for free while also giving them five days of early access to new EA titles. While a limited playtime makes sense for games with a storyline (Dragon's Age, Battlefield, etc.), many sports gamers have expressed disgust at going from unlimited three day playing time with EA SPORTS Season Ticket to now six hours over five days. (Season Ticket returns to PS3/360 this year.)

EA Access is only available on Microsoft's Xbox One as Sony (PlayStation 4) allegedly declined carrying the program, citing it a poor value for consumers. Yesterday's WWE 2K15 roster reveal announced 59 wrestlers coming to the game with more to be announced at a later date. The most surprising being CM Punk given that he is no longer with the company. However, earlier in the week it was disclosed that he will be featured within the new "2K Showcase" mode for his two-year rivalry with John Cena.

EA SPORTS NHL has posted the first video highlighting the new pre-game intro and Dynamic Low, Medium, and High gameplay cameras from NHL 15.

The pre-game features NBC commentators Mike Emrick and Eddie Olczyk setting up the game. While this format of real-life commentators in front of a green screen is impressive, early community feedback has led to many wondering how varied and unique commentary will be throughout the NHL season and playoffs. With the upcoming release of Madden NFL 15, EA SPORTS has released their 'Madden Season' trailer. Featuring Kevin Hart and Dave Franco, the trailer has been called "bizarre," "best worst trailer," and "weird," among other terms. Regardless, it is memorable and catchy. After seemingly being defunct with the launch of the current-gen consoles (PS4 & XB1) and EA Access (XB1 only), the EA SPORTS Season Ticket program is returning for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users.

Featuring the same guidelines as the past, Season Ticket will provide users access to Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, and FIFA 15 three days early, 20% discount on additional DLC, and 24 weeks of Ultimate Team Packs. Season Ticket costs $19.99 annually.

On current-gen consoles, EA Access will provide Xbox One users access to EA SPORTS title five days early (any time limitations currently unknown), meaning that PlayStation 4 users are the only ones with no early access to Madden NFL 15 and other EA titles.

After a week of rumors on a possible release date for a Madden NFL 15 demo and then if one will even be available, it was confirmed today on Twitter by Community Manager Andrew Johnson that there will not be a demo for the game.

With EA Access now available for all Xbox One users, those who wish to play Madden NFL 15 (PS4 & XB1) will need to sign up for the subscription service. EA Access will allow users to play the game five days early, however there has no word on if there will be any limits to the amount of time played in that period.

With less than two months to release, NBA Live 15 has yet to officially reveal game information (or even a cover athlete) through official channels. However, this past week featured Executive Producer Sean O'Brien disclosing some game info via interviews with EGM and Game Informer. Game Informer also published an article with '20 Things We Know About NBA Live 15.'

As noted in the Amazon synopsis for the game, NBA Live 15 is "doubling down on visuals and ... gameplay improvements."

In terms of features the game will feature some logic and simulation changes to Dynasty and Rising Star modes, but will not include EASBL as the team works to improve the core experience before investing in online team play. Ultimate Team will add an Auction House, which should aid in user-to-user interactivity with the mode. With less than two months until release, information had been low key for both basketball titles until this past week. NBA 2K15 began their info push with the first look at the game with a quick video of cover athlete Kevin Durant in action and info on some game features.

In their weekly livestream, NBA 2K revealed that the popular Crew mode would be returning to last-gen consoles (PS3 & 360) and teased that some elements (and perhaps then-some) would be in the current-gen systems (PS4 & XB1) - to be revealed at a later date.

First reported by Good Game Bro, it was confirmed today that former EA SPORTS GameChanger and NBA Live developer Scott O'Gallagher is now a member of the NBA 2K dev team. Confirmation came via updates to O'Gallagher's social media profiles and also in a quick Instagram video showcasing NBA 2K devs as they work in crunch time. The clip featuring O'Gallagher has him alongside former NBA Live developer Mike Wang, perhaps in a jab (unintentional or otherwise) towards EA SPORTS.
