I think naming stuff with "Official" satisfies weak-minded individuals' basic need for self-importance. Kind of like religion does.

Actually I totally could see an Unofficial Vikings thread. In my mind the "Official" thread would be run by the Minnesota Vikings themselves and the "Un" would be by any Tom, Dick or Hosier that wanted to put up a thread of their thoughts.... the problem is there is no consistency and no responsibility for the naming and anyone can post it's the "Official"
