    Oregon:
Oregon may lose the biggest collection of talent on offense of any team in the OD. 2 senior QBs depart leaving only rising senior Ryan Morrison or rising sophomore Eric Cummings to battle for the top spot, both severely lack the running or throwing ability of their elders. RB is easily the team strength with senior to be Lache Seastrunk and Pat Davis leading of the most talented groups in the country. Now things get really bad....WR The Ducks lose their top 5 WRs to graduation, leaving true freshman Michael Bowling (72 overall, 92 spd) as the elder statesman of a talented but ball skill lacking group of receivers. Senior TE Mike Robinson may be asked to a lot for the ducks in the passing game next season. The biggest losses on defense are probably Taylor Hart at DE and Keanon Lowe at CB. The DT position returns 1 true BCS conference player and the MLB position is in need of an instant infusion of talent from this years recruiting class, but the Safety positions are manned by very capable players who can help stuff the run since the Ducks do return 2 very solid CBs.
Good luck Kingpin, you are losing a ton of talented seniors this year!
I've dreaded this year since I took over Oregon. I got a few recruits that can hopefully fill the voids in my team.

Thanks Prime. While I'm disappointed in how I ended up doing, that's pretty close to where we really were in 1999.

Prime, big props thanks for that take from someone outside looking in.

My DT Eddie Sullivan was supposed to be RedShirted but for some reason it didn't take. I tried to remove him from the depth chart and not have him anywhere where he could sneak on the field in hopes that he would still be granted the automatic RS. Not sure if this worked because I forgot to check yesterday. I'll check tonight.

CB is going to be a really tough position for me to fill. I'm looking forward to some practice time to see who is going to win this battle in the Fall.

its not to big a deal, usually i do it anyways to see how you guys are recruiting and what needs you are going to go after in the next off season to figure out who i can go for, figured it would be fun to write it down for once.

On offense we can not start a discussion without talking about how big of a loss Montee Ball is, the do it all back will be missed by Badger faithful. He will be replaced by Deon Brown who looks to have built himself into a strong division 1 RB. The next biggest lost might be Jeff Duckworth (94 overall) who leaves behind an average WR corps which may get an infusion of talent from recruiting. The offensive Line is younger and not as highly rated as you would expect from a Badger team but something tells me coach gschwendt knows what he is looking for in his OL and they will once again pave the way for a strong running game. On defense the Badgers lose 3 of their top 4 defensive linemen from a 4-3 alignment and this could be where teams attack them as the secondary looks to be a team strength. The LB corps looks to be above average with a chance at good but one injury could lead to disaster. I think we all look forward to how Brett Chavis develops with his 6'3 frame and 99 speed.
Ball is going to be a loss but truth be told, I like running with Brown better simply because he's slower and I can find holes a bit easier. He could be faster but he's got great running attributes and at least in practice mode, he breaks through all kinds of arm tackles.
As for WR, with Payne returning, I'll be in good shape. Nobles is probably the most underrated player on the game (at 71OVR) because he doesn't have good ACC or AGI but he has great catching, particularly spectacular catching. I signed a good WR this year but he probably will be 3rd or 4th on the depth chart.
O-Line will definitely be something interesting to see how they develop... I think I have a decent crew but only one or two that would be considered good on most teams.
D-Line is actually less of a loss than described, especially since I run the 3-3-5. I lost two DTs but one was actually 4th string despite better OVR... I did lose the starter at DT but his backup has good STR and 99 PMV so I'm looking forward to him getting some starts. DE has plenty of depth at the position and my starter next year redshirted this year so he'll be ready to jump on the field.
Linebackers will be an injury away from scary... I like my starters but my backups are not going to challenge for playing time anytime soon, though we are looking to sign a solid JUCO player that will be available to give the starters a breather from time to time.
DBs are probably my strength on the team, despite losing a starter at SS. My CBs have quite a bit of talent and can hold their own out on an island. Chavis will officially be moving from FS to SS this year in order to get him in the offense's backfield more often. He started some late in the year at SS and puts great pressure on the QB and tracks down HBs with ease. The other SS is a position up for the taking, one being a better tackler, the other better in coverage.
For kicking, Groza winner Donny Merritt will be returning to add to his trophy case. At punter, the Badgers signed Anthony Ferwerda who has a big leg looking to pin opponents deep every time he comes onto the field. CB Peniel will come back as the primary returnman.

From an outside perspective though, great write up.

what does everyone think we will get with the new recruits during off season? Will we get get crapped on again as we were in the regular season, or will they shower us with gold. I am thinking we get crapped on, or that texas is listed as #1 for all the good ones

I have a feeling it will be normal. They always add a new #1 Overall and then a couple of decent ones in there. I have to wonder though if the recruits were really bad this year or we just weren't really on their lists. I can honestly say that I didn't go too deep into the talent pool to evaluate all the talent.

It was a good CB and OG class imo, the HB class looked awful and the #1 HB would have been rated like 7th or 8th in years past i think (at least the last time i went after a top HB which was 2 years ago when papa signed both the ones I was after)

usually i have trouble only picking 10 to go after and end up with 15 or 16, i can safely say i was stretching to find 10 i wanted this year.

Trojan offense should roll next year with the strength being the Offensive Line. Need to make a few changes but here's the projected Depth Chart. Backup RT Marcus Thomas 88 Ovr will probably move inside to RG or C.

I think there's going to be two new guys in the top 5....I refuse to believe they won't hook us up. I'm hoping for a Michigan type of OLB and a Ed Reed type of safety.

....then taking the cash and the car with him as he transfers to his first love (but not his Dad's) and redshirts his sophomore year to be better prepared to make an impact for the Longhorns.

Only to be abolished from playing another college snap never once seeing the field after the MNC game in which the Lions won 24-17 over Texas. Rumors have that is when the training staff of the Longhorns slipped a roll of 100's inside his jock strap.
