Couldn't help but notice Heineken changed their commercial. It took them so long, I can't help but wonder why they changed it.
It's the commercial where the guy is pursuing a woman at, presumably, a wedding reception. And he gives her a Heineken, but instead of asking her to dance, asks her mother.
The first version of the commercial called her "prey" and said "makes the prey, submit to him", I believe. The new version calls her a "prize" and says "makes the prize come to him". Can't help but think some feminist objected to the idea of "prey" and "submit", but that commercial's been running for months, if not longer. Weird time to change it.

Yeah, I noticed that myself a week or two ago when I saw the "new" commercial. Definitely makes me curious of what the reason was. And if it was feminist, well, hope she doesn't go to bars, because that commercial ain't the only place that she would be thought of as prey, lol.
Check out the comments section for a ton of rant-y posts about it. http://thesocietypages.org/socimages...-and-the-hunt/

So, my Saturday morning is already off to a shitastic start. I was headed out of town to drive over to Napoleon this morning for my morning show on the radio station over there. Got out on the east side of town ready to jump on 24 and make the drive over to Napoleon when my car decided to suddenly just shut down and die right there in the middle of a road.
So I got to have fun, at 3 in the fricking morning, pushing that heavy bitch down the road to in front of the volunteer fire station out that way so I could get it out of the middle of the road, then I got to enjoy sitting there in a freezing cold ass car for over an hour waiting on the tow truck.
Thank God I had actually decided to leave the house for work earlier than I normally do this morning. After waiting an hour on the tow truck, waiting for him to get the car hooked up, tow it back to my house, get it unhooked, and then me switching cars and hauling ass out of town to get up here to the radio station, I somehow managed to make it into Napoleon and get in studio about 15-20 minutes before I go on air and start my show.
And to add to the joy, we switched to 24/7 Christmas music here on the station yesterday morning at midnight. Listening to nonstop Christmas music is enough to make me want to shove an ice pick in my eye. The week of, even the week before Christmas, fin. A month before Christmas, FML.
My work has done the same thing. It's fuckin' terrible... I hate the shit with a passion already and it's just made it that much worse...
Yeah, I really really hate this time of year working in radio. The week of Christmas, absolutely fine with me, gets me in the Christmas mood. The week before even, in moderation, fine. A month before, ugh. I can only take so much Christmas music at once. I hate to even think about some of the stations in Toledo. One of them, 101.5 The River, has been playing 24/7 Christmas music since midnight on November 1st.![]()

Brilliant!
Finally! ESPN has listened to the masses and now has a central place to follow the sports we all love! ESPNW. Your one stop shop for all women sports and women athletes, lol.
I'm still waiting for ESPN8: The Ocho to make an appearance. They have just about every other creation under the moon between TV channels and websites online.
Are you fucking kidding me?
EDIT: You're not.

No, no I'm not unfortunately. I saw a story or ad or whatever the hell it was on ESPN.com earlier today about the new site being up. I literally facepalmed.
