Him too. Back in the "good" old days of gaming, there were a ton of games with GREAT stories and very memorable characters that you grew attached to while playing. One big example for me, is Aeris in Final Fantasy VII. She was an extremely memorable character and learning her whole back story, only to have her killed by Sephiroth in that historic scene of the game, that is something that really would catch you while playing and it stuck with you.
Another one that instantly comes to mind is Lee and Clem. I don't know a single person who didn't cry at the end of season 1 of Telltale's Walking Dead game. I forget who it was who said it in another topic just the past day or two, but it was the same thing with me, I not only cried, I balled my fucking eyes out at the end of that game. I don't know of any other game in the last 5-10 years that could have possibly done that to me. The stories and the character development in games these days just plain sucks.
