i just didn't have a good game to bring recruits in for a visit, ended up with a top lsu team but its like 3rd or 4th on the tree of goodness.
next year should be better with 2+ conf games between week 4-7. I still met all my needs and look forward to some luck from the recruiting engine next year

Evaluation
Wright is a fast, scheme versatile defensive back with a lot of upside. This guy has cover corner makeup speed and closing burst with safety size. Hips may project better at the latter when projecting for the major college level but still has sought-after size, speed and athleticism for perimeter defender, particularly in underneath schemes. Fluid and athletic for a 6-foot-1 corner but his great speed and range are his best assets. Diagnoses and anticipates the pass soundly allowing him to utilize his good breaking quickness and explosive plant and drive skill to make a lot of plays on the pass in front of him. Covers a lot of ground quickly as an underneath zone defender but his competitiveness and leaping and jump-ball skills should be noted in man schemes. Overall, he positions himself well defending in man-to-man and recovers quickly with proper inside positioning; very balanced and athletic with a natural feel for the position. However, we still feel he will need some time to refine his pedal, footwork and man-to-man skills as a true corner; may project better as a Nickel and best upside may eventually be at safety with his good range, field awareness and physicality. He is a solid run supporter who fights through the stalk-block and closes hard with collision type tackles. Overall, Wright will bring good flexibility to the back-seven with his blend of size, speed and athleticism and ability to play both corner and safety. A ball-hawk type defensive back with a big-play element to his game that could be flying under the radar.

When the Wisconsin coaching staff went to visit Brett and his high school coach, for whatever reason the high school coach wouldn't let Brett throw to any receivers, instead would only let him throw it as far as he could downfield. As a result, the Badgers know that he has a big strong arm, but what they don't know is whether he can hit the broad side of a barn or not. Despite that, Wisconsin looks forward to getting him on campus to see what he can do and what potential he has to take over the reigns in the future of their offense.
Ward chose Wisconsin over offers from West Virginia and Florida State. Interestingly enough, Florida State had been late in targeting him as a recruit but they did bring him in for a visit to their campus this past week. Apparently Brett had seen enough and instantly committed to Wisconsin the following week.
Wisconsin has now signed 10 recruits on the season with 8 of those being listed on the ESPNU 150. The Badgers have covered their team needs and now are just recruiting for added depth.

Evaluation:
This guy has really got some tools and is highly productive as a runner and passer. He possesses adequate height and the frame to add bulk and strength. He is a true dual-threat that is advanced as a passer in comparison to most. He has a big arm and can make every single throw. This offense provides him opportunities to stretch the field both outside of the numbers and between the hashes. Shows good velocity on his deeper throws. Can fit the ball into a lot of tight spots. He does a very nice job surveying the field and goes through his progressions. This offense forces him to make a variety of throws. Shows ability to change velocities and throw catchable balls underneath. He also shows good accuracy and touch in the short-to-intermediate passing game. Release mechanics are compact, but can be about 3/4. He is in the shotgun most of the time and needs more reps from under center to develop as a drop-back passer reading on the move. Possesses good lateral movement and shows the ability to slip pressure and create second-chance opportunities. He has very good speed for the position. He is elusive and quick for his size and displays some start and stop ability. Outside of the pocket he is very dangerous because of his athleticism yet he can stand tall in the passing game and deliver to all areas of the field with confidence from within the pocket. He is clearly in command of this scheme and makes good decisions with the football. Hits his target and shows good balance and set up to be consistently accurate. Overall, Young will be one of the hotter commodities in this class of QB's and not just as a dual-threat, but as a passer. Very good player with upside to be an elite guy at the BCS level with further development.

Right off the bat Haynes grabs your attention with a very impressive physical presence. In that 6-foot-7 range he carries his weight well and for a kid at about 250 pounds he has room to pack on a significant amount of bulk as he continues to physically develop. He possesses a nice wingspan and has a very physical nature to him and displays good strength. He looks to enjoy contact and will deliver some big hits. As a pass rusher he is tough to contain as he uses his long limbs and hands to club and punch by blockers. He also can be very quick off the ball. He plays with a good motor and will pursue to the ball. He also possesses excellent straight-line game speed which allows him to be a factor on plays all over the field and has good overall athleticism. He is still young and growing as a player. He needs to watch his pad level as he can play tall. He is physical when engaging blockers, but needs to use his hands and reach more to his advantage to create separation and shed against the run. He also needs to work on his tackling. He can deliver big blows and slam ball carriers to the turf, but needs to work on wrapping up at times to secure more tackles. It is clear this is a good defender and a kid worthy of the attention he is getting. He also displays versatility and is able to make plays on defense, offense, and special teams, though the majority of his time in college will be spent at defensive end. He needs to keep working on some of the 'little things' that the position requires, but he is a kid capable of creating big plays and being a difference maker.

Evaluation:
Nash is a very productive player capable making big plays from any spot on the field. Has the size and excellent athleticism for the outside linebacker position at the major level of competition. This is a flexible athlete with good agility and balance; plays in space very well showing the potential to be a positive factor in pass coverage. Displays good K&D run recognition skills; flashes good playing strength along with the ability to take on and defeat blockers at the point of attack; his quickness allows him to avoid contact while moving through traffic in short or long pursuit. This guy shows the ability to play downhill, stack and scrape off the edge. We like his instincts; never appears to be out of position, always maintaining good leverage on the football. Demonstrates very good pass rush and containment skill; can release from flat coverage to contain and sack the QB with a good closing burst. This is a difficult guy to block in pass protection; his athleticism and playing speed allow for game plan flexibility. Displays very good wrap tackling skills; can balance up and knock'em back. We see this guy playing early on special teams. Nash may not be an immediate starter however if a red shirt year is not deemed necessary don't be surprised if he starts to see early playing time.

Nice land on Chris Haynes OB - I was throwing everything I had at him. He's a freak with that size and speed.
Yeah I was giving him 1 hour a week and gave him 3 promises. I held off on offering him a scholly until last week when I brought him in for a visit. When I saw you inch ahead of me I thought it would come back to haunt me. But with the 1 hour spent recruiting, the scholly offer and the visit against a rival I was more than happy to have him bring his services to Ann Arbor.
I will look for him to disrupt pass blocking schemes in the nickle next year and play behind last years JUCO transfer in base formations. I cannot wait to see how much damage he will do to opposing QB's in his Junior year.

Evaluation
Reed is a productive safety prospect who actually fits the mold of a hybrid type defender the more you watch him on film. Ton of production comes near the line of scrimmage; would make an ideal Rover. He is tall, long and rangy; combines good body length and speed to cover a lot of ground on his pursuit. Has a very good blend of size and straight-line speed. Will enter college with better run support skills than pass. A real ball-hawk when positioned down in the box. Strong tackler who drives through ball carriers with good pop from his hips and is very sound in the openfield; does need to avoid lunging and leading with head, Effective Blitzer and vertical attacker with his closing burst and length. Anticipates the snap well and thrives in heavy pressure schemes. Shows similar explosiveness breaking on the underneath pass; separates a lot of balls from the receiver with high impact hits and limits yards after the catch. However, he can look also look a bit rigid at times transitioning in and out of his pedal and does not take consistently direct angles to the ball. Better defending the pass in front of him than opening and turning in coverage; flashes some hip stiffness changing direction. Could improve ball and diagnosis skills in coverage. Would like to see him sharpen his angles running the alley on run support; Displays wasted movement at times. That said, Reed could develop into a very good strong safety with continued physical develop and polish in pass coverage. Should be an asset on special teams as well.
Well, web based recruiting shafted on a call to a DE i was after, .....looks like AU will get this one. He was a soft commit but I was still going hard.
