With Time Warner Cable here in Ohio, looks like it's time to start seeing what other options we have around here.![]()
I have Comcast and I don't have much problem with them... price is decent enough and never really have a need to contact customer service. Plus my internet speed beats anything else in town for a fraction of the cost.
Plus, since I don't have a TV in my home office, I can stream everything from the night before on my computer. We don't have a DVR and get by with that.
For me it's either Time Warner/Comcast or DirecTV or Dish.
And I'm not going satellite.
The dude abides.
I have Dish and I've never had any issues. Never goes out inked there is winds over 60mph which rarely happens in central PA.
I have comcast for internet and really like it.
If I can get the speed that Tommy has at Comcast, I'll be f'n happy![]()

Well, maybe I'll see what happens. I've heard nothing but never ending negative things about Comcast. But with some of you having Comcast and either not having issues with them or being happy with them, maybe I'd be willing to see what they do after the merger (if it happens) and what they're like.
If I can get those kinds of speeds, for a reasonable price, and not deal with bandwidth caps, speed throttling, or overage costs, I'll be happy with that.
Cable could be a different issue, not sure how cable pricing will change with the merger, plus if the talk is true of having to get a new set top box that Comcast insists on over that of my current Time Warner box (especially since I have about 60% of my DVR space used up with certain programming that I've saving and not deleting right now, be it certain episodes of TV shows, movies that rarely are ever shown on TV (like once every couple years rare), etc, I'd really hate to lose all of those recorded programs just because Comcast insists I use their set top box.
Yeah we have had them for awhile now and have been pretty happy. We just re-upped for another year (although that was a hastle b/c a douche made us actually cancel the policy mail our old stuff back then call back and get a new account for the deal we got). The only issue is they really seem to throttle the upload speeds for some reason and the speeds for the net are not as fast as Comcast but I don't download allot other than the free PS games on PS4/PS3 so I can just leave them on over night.
A little Valentine's Day horror for you... here's a web-comic that will creep you out.
