Depends on what you want. I don't pay for Live for free games, I pay for the vastly superior interface and online features. Plus is nothing but a subscription service, so I pay for that for the quality of the games that they supply every month.
I'm talking past gen, of course. Next gen it's too early to tell how these services are going to play out.
Lots of PS haters coming out of the woodwork with it being down last night. I do agree though. Now that we are paying for it, their shit needs to be in line. Granted with the holidays, traffic estimation has to be a bitch.

Well if it was my only console, I would be pissed. Sony has a track record of having an excessive amount of outages. Meanwhile, it's once in a blue moon that Xbox Live goes down. If we're now paying for online access, I expect the same kind of quality.
Meh wasn't a big deal to me as I have things to do in life other than game. Did it suck? Yeah but I went to twitter/forums and the lack of intelligence in the country is amazing. I see the problem as nothing more than growing pains with several Million people just now getting their console for the 1st time it probably overloaded the servers. The problem appears to have resolved in under 12 hours.
Wasn't a big deal to me either. I was really wanting to play NBA 2k, but didn't want to risk playing without a connection. PSN was still working for me on PS3, so I played GT6 and downloaded a couple of PS+ games. Dyad looks interesting.
I can assure you that "several million" people did not get on during Christmas since they haven't even sold "several million" units yet. It's irrelevant. They sold over 80,000,000 PS3s and they're now having trouble with less than 3,000,000 PS4 users? Give me a break. Put quite frankly, they don't have the online architecture or features to be charging to play online. If they didn't offer the games that they do with a Plus subscription, I'd be tempted to call it a scam.
I would be just as pissed with games like AC4 and NBA 2K14 that require you to be online to play parts of their games. That nonsense should stop.
The remake of Devil May Cry (PS3) and Don't Stave (PS4, maybe PS3 too) will be the free games tomorrow.

Yep. Something every week. Sometimes it's not always a free game but just a discount, but something new every week.

Yeah mine does that too all the time its annoying as hell and happens after literally every other hand.
I played it a lot! 90% on it I think. The little "hiccups" are annoying but it never crashed my system.

I'm surprised how addictive this is. I don't know anything about any of theses characters, but it's still a really fun game.
Might be the EU but worth a look.
