Saban to Texas has become like Gruden to (insert college). I've heard it so many times without ever seeing it happen that it's hard for me to take it seriously.

Texas wants to make such a big splash by throwing ridiculous names out there like Saban, Tomlin, Harbaugh, etc. All that is doing is setting up the fan base for a letdown when they land someone else.
    The dude abides.

Has anything even happened yet? I haven't seen anything pop up online yet regarding Texas and Brown. Supposedly the decision was supposed to be made by today.

Texas wanted Brown to resign by today because there is a big banquet tonight, and they could use that banquet to celebrate the career of Brown at Texas.

All week ESPN, Fox Sports and others were reporting that sources were saying Brown would resign by the end of the week, that the announcement would be made by Friday. It's looking like the sources were wrong, unless something is gonna come out in the next hour.

I can't help but laugh at these NCAA commercials. "Well, just know we're always there for student athletes."

Always there for student athletes my fucking ass! Just look back through all the stories since August of student athlete after student athlete who have been fucked up the ass by the NCAA because of some dumbass, inane rule or some dumbass, inane interpretation of those same dumbass, inane rules, by the NCAA.

I need look no further than that MTSU player who was a marine over in Afghanistan, and was initially ruled ineligible by the NCAA because he supposed played in an organized league, an organized league that was essentially nothing but pickup football games between units in the middle of a fucking war zone.

Yeah, you're really always there for student athletes, if that ain't a giant pile of bullshit. What fucking dumbass thought up the idea for those commercials and those lines?
