Some quick impressions just from holding it (keep in mind I loved the 360 controller and thought the PS3 controller was one of the worst ones I've ever used):

*Hand grip area is a little thinner, but it actually feels better.
*Grip area is longer so that I can now rest my pinkie on the edge of the grip rather than it hanging off like it did on PS3.
*Sticks are slightly more sturdy and require a little more force to move them, which is good IMO, because the PS3 sticks were way too loose. They feel good.
*Sticks are slightly further apart so you'll be running your thumbs together a lot less often. You CAN still hit them, but I was doing it intentionally and I think just playing naturally you probably will never have them touch, so THANK GOD.
*D-Pad is awesome as usual, but that was expected as the PS3 and Vita ones are both good as well.
*Face buttons feel a little better, but I never really had a problem with them before. I think they're slightly closer together than they were on PS3, but it's not by much.
*L1 and R1 feel as expected.
*Triggers have a nice curve to them, and my fingers are not slipping off at all, so that's a huge plus there. They are a little small for my taste, but they're still a massive improvement over the DS3

Overall, love it. Massive, massive improvement over the shit that was the DS3.

    Didn't see this, sorry.

Triggers feel great. The problem of your fingers slipping off are a thing of the past. They're a little small for my taste, but that's just a personal thing and I doubt many people will have a problem with it.

Size wise, it doesn't feel bigger to me at all. It feels longer because the grip extends further down, but I like that because now I can rest all of my fingers on the grip rather than having my pinkie hanging off. If you liked the DS3, you'll love the DS4.

Sounds good. I've always strongly preferred Sony's controller over MS' controller. I think the reason is MS' just feels too big/clunky in my hands (+ I just prefer the sticks parallel over MS' setup). How much bigger/heavier is DS4 over DS3.

Weighs about the same (I personally can't tell the difference, DS4 might weigh a LITTLE more) but the DS4 feels much more solid than the DS3 did. I always thought I was going to break the DS3 because it felt so cheap, but the DS4 is solid and feels really, really nice.

Played a game of Madden 25 with it. God damn. Best controller I've ever used. No, I'm not joking.

So you can use them with PS3 then? If so, I might have to pick one up...

On most games, yes...you just have to have it plugged in with a micro USB cable. It doesn't work at all with Grand Theft Auto 5 for some reason, but it seems to work with most games (tried Madden and NCAA and everything works just fine).

The middle PS button doesn't work at all, so you'll still have to use your PS3 controller to access the in game XMB and stuff like that.

It also works on PC from what I've read.

EDIT: FYI, for anyone thinking about buying one, it needs to be plugged in via micro USB and one is NOT included.

Same micro USB that is used for DS3?

No, DS3 uses mini USB. DS4 needs a micro USB. It's smaller, like the one often used in Android phones.

I feel sorry for those who preorder at Walmart and Best Buy. Both of those stores are NOTORIOUS for not holding reservations. GS and Amazon are easily the best places.

Here is how digital sharing (& more) works on PS4.

Games you purchase can be downloaded and played on any PS4™ system if you sign in to PSN℠. There is no limit on the number of systems you can use. * Only you can start games that you download.

Am I understanding this correctly: You can have your account on as many consoles as you want, but you can only play them when signed into your account? Is that what "Only you can start games that you download" is trying to convey?

That's the way I understand it, too. Really don't like that.

I was really hoping the extra controllers would come with a cable. Well that's why I have Monoprice.

    PS4: How Digital Sharing Works

    And it sounds pretty straightforward.

Saw a rumor that Amazon launch bundles will include two controllers. I just got on a Amazon live chat, and IT'S TRUE.

Me:Hello Vinod. I have heard reports that the PS4 Launch Bundles will include TWO controllers. Is this true?
Vinod:May I place the chat on hold for 2-3 minutes, while I check this for you?
    Me:Sure thing.
    Vinod:Thanks for waiting.
Yes, Jeremy. I checked and confirmed that you will be receiving two controllers.
    The dude abides.

Cancelled my extra controller pre-order. Had credits on that order, so I applied those credits to where Killzone will cost me $36.
    The dude abides.
