Hey EA, that's how you block a field goal (the Boise State FG that Washington just blocked). Now watch the replay. Watch it again. Watch it 50 more times just to be safe. Good? Now go code it!

All teams go on hard times. I still try to forget the Sooner's of the early 90's.
It's the FCS's world, we are just living in it.
Eastern Illinois putting a beating on San Diego St
Northern Iowa beats Iowa St
Clemson kicking some Georgia butt in the 4th quarter of a really good game.
Nebraska...

Smooth's week 1 take...
Washington looks much improved over last year's team. Lost to Boise in the Las Vegas Bowl 28-26, this time around, they whooped Boise's ass 38-6. As long as they don't have a letdown during the season, we could see an 8-10 win Washington this year.
Boise State could see a little bit of a letdown this year, with as much as they've just been getting rolled over by Washington tonight. They should still end up with a good record, as Washington is the toughest team on their entire schedule. However, if they have taken a step back, Fresno State, Utah State, and Nevada will be right there to challenge them for league wins. BYU could also end up a victor.
Nevada meanwhile will not have a great record to start, playing at #21 UCLA this week and at #11 Florida State in two weeks, but they've put up a fight against UCLA and should be a good team in conference play.
Nebraska better hope they just came out straight up flat and went through the motions today, or that Wyoming is really damn good this year. With UCLA in two weeks, a three week stretch in November of Northwestern, Michigan and Michigan State, hell, even the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State could put up a fight in three weeks, Nebraska better get things sorted out.
West Virginia also better light some fires under their asses this week. Trailing 17-7 at halftime and escaping with a 7 point win over an FCS team that went 2-9 last year, it could end up ugly for the Mountaineers next week at #16 Oklahoma.
Southern Miss, the suck continues as they blow it against Texas State. 0-4 looks like a certainty with three straight road games at Nebraska, Arkansas and Boise State over the next three weeks. At that point, they'll be on an 0-16 slide, and hoping just to even get back to a .500 record, they'll have to hope Conference USA is a cakewalk for them.
FCS teams. This has already been touched upon in this thread, but FBS teams need to stop scheduling top level FCS teams if they want these "automatic wins" for $750,000-$1 million each year. These top level teams, Delaware, Eastern Washington, Northern Iowa, North Dakota State, Villanova, Montana, Sam Houston State, Georgia Southern, they're all playing for a FCS national championship year in and year out. They're basically the Alabamas of the FCS level. They're damn good, they're talented, and they're out for blood each week. Add in playing on the road at an FBS team, possibly a ranked one, and the chance to make headlines and highlight reels by knocking off these FBS teams, and that's just more fuel on the fire.
You need look no further than this first weekend. We already had four FCS upsets on just Thursday and Friday alone, before the meat of opening weekend even arrived. Add in today's games, we're up to 8 FCS uspets in the first three days of the 2013 season. Eastern Illinois over San Diego State, Northern Iowa over Iowa State, Eastern Washington over #25 Oregon State, McNeese State over South Florida, Southern Utah over South Alabama, Towson over Connecticut, Samford over Georgia State, North Dakota State over Kansas State.
Add in near upsets by Liberty against Kent State, Howard against Eastern Michigan, Southern Illinois against Illinois, William & Mary against West Virginia and Villanova against Boston College, it was a big week for FCS teams, and could have been bigger.
As for Johnny Manziel, I just saw the highlights of the A&M game on Fox Sports Live, I'm sorry, but he is a douchebag in my opinion and someone needs to smoke the shit out of him on a play this season, maybe it'll knock some common sense into him. If he's letting comments from Rice players get to him, he's gonna have a long ass season. The SEC teams alone with rip him a new one in comments on the line of scrimmage and after tackles/sacks. Then the taunting and getting into the face of Rice players after plays or touchdowns, just fucking stupid. Get the fuck back in the huddle, get the fuck over to the sideline, enough with the entitled jackass routine. I like A&M as a team, I like Sumlin, but Manziel is making it damn hard for me to not want A&M to lose every game this season. We already knew that winning the Heisman last year has gone to his head, you need look no further than all the off-season shit he ended up involved in. But if he really was paid tens of thousands of dollars for all those autographs, and only ended up with the slap on the wrist that he got, well, now he's being a cocky little shit because he knows he just got one over on the NCAA. Thankfully we won't have to wait long for a team to attempt to put him in his place, as the Alabama showdown is only two weeks away.
As for the personal foul penalty on Manziel, it may not be a big deal to some, A&M was already whooping ass, but it's still stupid and absolutely fucking pointless of a penalty. It's a penalty that never should have happened, simple as that, had Manziel just kept his goddamn mouth shut and not sit there trying to stir up shit with Rice players. Sumlin better have his ass running laps this week in practice after that shit.
I did not get to see the game but OU did not look too impressive in the box score in certain areas. Our new QB threw for a whopping 86 yards and a 42.9 QB rating against Louisiana Monroe. Fortunately they ran the ball well and played solid defense. Of course it was Louisiana Monroe.
Just glad WV has to come here to play.
Close.. Same dude, different number and different season (both year and time of year). You hit the trifecta.

I will be the third here to label J. Manziel a douche.........a pickled douche to boot..............sad because I have always liked the Aggies but I will be rooting against them now.
When did French bottled water companies get to play college football?? Elon?? Really?? And the big feed and seed conglomerate down south, Austin Peay??? How are these companies doing it?? The NCAA should investigate![]()
Well, I will say this. We were VERY vanilla. Now, does that mean neither of our new QBs (Trickett or Millard) can actually run anything besides the vanilla stuff or what, I don't know, but we were definitely vanilla against them.
I'm still expecting us to lose 50-0 against you guys next Saturday, but I've certainly been wrong before.
I think the general consensus is that Manziel has not shown sufficient respect for the game nor appreciation for the stage the game affords him, regardless of any violation of NCAA rule, and people would like to see him get his comeuppance. I am also among that group.
Fuck Johnny Autograph.
I'm using Tapatalk 2 and the Cleveland Browns STILL suck.
Yep, as far as I could see, he had no respect whatsoever for the game yesterday, nor his position on the "stage". He was acting like the Terrell Owens of college football yesterday. Sitting there taunting Rice players (Really? You're gonna taunt Rice?), making autograph gestures to the Rice players (which personally signals to me that he didn't learn jackshit from the entire NCAA investigation, the meetings, the half game suspension, it looks like he almost feels more empowered now), etc.
After getting tackled on one play, the same one he made the autograph gesture to a Rice player while backing up towards his huddle, not sure if the Rice player said something or not, but he suddenly stops and walks right up into the Rice player's face (practically in the defensive huddle mind you), to where one of his own linemen had to come over, get between him and the Rice player and push him back towards his own damn huddle. The play clock is running dumbass, you're in the middle of the drive, get back to the huddle and call the next play.
Then taunting that get him flagged for a personal foul, sitting there celebrating after a touchdown, more jawing with two Rice players, starts walking back to the sidelines then suddenly turns around, takes a couple steps back towards the Rice players near the end zone with his arms in the air, saying something that the refs deemed worthy enough of a flag. As I said last night, I don't give a damn what the score is, how secure the game is, what's going on in the game, a QB getting tagged with a personal foul penalty for taunting, or whatever the hell else he was doing right then towards those Rice players is just stupid and Sumlin better have his ass running laps all week long.
And even before he returned to the field, during the first half, he twice went out onto the field after touchdowns to try and celebrate with his teammates. One ref pulled him back towards his sideline by his jersey during one of the times (at the time he as all the way out by the numbers on the field) and even then he was throwing his arms up in the air while being pulled back by the ref, almost like he was trying challenge the ref on pulling him back from celebrating.
Winning the Heisman last year has seriously gone to his head (we pretty much already knew that after the off-season), but now getting out of an NCAA investigation with nothing more than a slap on the wrist has made him feel like he's empowered and untouchable and can do no wrong. Sumlin made the right move by benching him in the fourth quarter (even though it sounded like it only ended up being for the final series or two), but now Sumlin has to get on his ass and knock some goddamn sense into him. Like all the talking heads have been saying for the last 24 hours, if he was letting comments on the field by Rice players get to him like that, Alabama is gonna rip his ass a new one. And letting Alabama get into his head like that will do nothing but hurt A&M. Rice is Rice, A&M was fine against them regardless, Alabama is a different beast and he'll be laying on his ass all day if he loses the mental edge. He's a good player, he obviously has skill, but his attitude sucks and the way he handles himself on and off the field sucks. The way he's acting right now, he needs to be brought down a peg or ten.
As always, I'm the lone dissenter who found Johnny Football's antics funny and was more annoyed by the media coverage turning every little thing into something bigger than what it is.
