Glad to see it really wasn't only just me witnessing it.
Come on EA, really? How could you possibly bone up the Super Bowl post game that bad? I mean that is atrociously horrible. I'm seriously starting to wonder if EA really does have any QA there in Florida. Between NCAA and now this, I'm honestly starting to think they just skip that part of the process.
Yeah, I'm starting to give second thought to picking this up in a couple months for XBox One.
Like jaymo, overall, it's a fun game. I've played more Madden in the last three days than I have in the last 3 years. But there are so many glaring issues, glitches, bugs, menu lag and then just overall piss poor jobs done by EA on various aspects of the game. Just like the Super Bowl post game and trophy presentation. How in the hell could that possibly even make it out of the offices like that? Over all these months of them working on this game, and NO ONE ever caught that and said "hey, this needs to be fixed!"?
And it's like that with a bunch of different things. Then you have owner mode, which while I love that they finally brought it back, like jaymo said, it's shallow. They added the basics, but did nothing else. It reminds me of coaching carousel in NCAA. They finally added offensive and defensive coordinators, but did pretty much nothing else with it. No position coaches, nothing tied to the actual coaches you have, other than they change the playbooks of CPU teams. That's it. Just tacked on some basic base layer and called it done.
Right now, if I had to make a decision at this moment, yes or no, if I would be getting Madden for Xbox One, even with as much fun as I've had these last three days, I'm going with no. With so many issues and poor coding in this game, it's not worth $60, $40 or even $20 to me.
