I believe JJ Watt is rated about 101. One more player over the 99 cap. Surprised to realize (I guess I forgot) that CBs do not use hands (catching) as part of the overall formula. It's used for SS and a little for FS but not for CB.
Madden trade analysis and screens. You see transaction log as well.

I'm on the fence with this game. The demo was OK, but considering I'm getting a next gen system, I want to know if things like Owner mode and stuff will play as well on the new consoles.
Agreed. I'm pretty much going to wait until the Xbox One releases to get Madden 25. I'm hoping, and assuming, that everything (modes, gameplay, features) will be exactly the same as the 360 version. If not, that's pretty stupid.
I may have to see if I can get an Xbox One copy of Madden 25 from Gamefly or a local Redbox, give it a day or two to see what's the deal with the next-gen version and make sure it's all good to go. Once I'm sure, then I'll look at purchasing it for Xbox One.

Personally I think the teams are too close. I love the Raiders but I would not have them higher than a 65. I would like to see more separation
IF ONLY EA's developers were as talented as their advertising department.
I think that is quite a bit of separation myself but it all depends on how they calculate the team ratings. They go from 72 to 91. Imagine if that was the average rating of a starting player? That would be huge!! If Oakland's average starter is rated 72 against 91 on the 49ers that would make sense and I would expect Oakland to get dominated. Of course they would have to weight the QB higher than the FB or RG so who know how EA comes up with the total ratings.
But they must also factor backups in because EA has the majority of players rated pretty high. Their free agent list is brutal that way. Remember the McNabb fiasco from last year? Didn't he always get signed by the Browns or something making it feel scripted?
Really no 60 rated teams? that is messed up EA .I agree that the ratings are too close and to many of the teams in the 70's there should half of those in the 60's then a few mid 70's rest 80 to low 90's.
I'm shocked 49ers and Seattle are the only teams to make the 90's rated team. i figured Denver or at least NE or both would be rated 90 as well.
I think the problem is though that you don't feel the difference between a 91 team and a 77 team. I was totally dominate vs. SF. Then in my test dynasty I played as the 72 ovr Raiders and pummelled the 89 ovr Broncos 34-0 in year two of dynasty. The Raiders had resigned pretty much nobody and only had 34 players on the roster. Sure any team can beat any other team and given day but my concern is that ratings won't matter for pretty much every game.
Maybe this is one reason the sliders are so weak. If ratings don't matter much and the sliders adjust the ratings, nothing changes.
One person on OS has hinted that the game is more difficult if you turn heat seeker and ball hawk off. Who knows? EA needs to overhaul the difficulty and slider system for Madden next year and they need to bring in someone who cares about this stuff. Whenever I would ask a Madden game changer about special teams sliders or changes, none of them even looked at the slider menu.

I cannot confirm these as I have not seen it (because I wasn't looking) but some people have simmed multiple seasons and are reporting that the inter-conference schedule doesn't rotate. In my season 2 franchise my schedule looks fine BUT there is a 3 home then three away stretch and I end the season with four straight road games followed by one home game
I was checking out the CFM website. If you have an online team you can access it here.

I played around with it. Overall it's pretty nice but it would not let me upgrade players. If I do pick up this game I could see spending some lunch-time at work playing around with this.
Update: still cannot get the site to work properly. I can look at the info but I cannot upgrade players, etc.

The dude abides.
Rudy, I bit and decided to purchase Madden 13. The Best Buy offer was just too good. You buy Madden 25 and then when the PS4 edition comes out you have SEVEN DAYS to upgrade. All you need is your receipt and the game in good condition. I figured this was too good to pass up. If I want the ps4 edition it will cost me $7 (tax).
Pasta padre is reporting Madden week 1 sales down 37%. 1 mil vs 1.6 mil last year. That's a huge drop. Usually drops are a reflection on last year's model. I do think EA blew the anniversary edition. They really didn't do anything special. NHL packed in NHL 94. Why didn't Madden pack in an old game? Why not have Madden return as a special announcer for Monday night games? Even the opening to the game was weak IMO.
Week 1 roster update is out. I've bugged Donny Moore to fix Cam Wake. I'll have to see if he listened. Wake is a LE! Not a RE!
