I posted this earlier in this thread , it simply amazing the dedication people have to some games.
I am honestly hoping there is some sort of loot system and he simply garnered alot of those parts about the ship from looting.

But seriously, level 1-1 of SMB? You can warp all the way to the end using the 3rd or 4th pipe! I remember beating that going playing every level and not doing the turtle on the stairs trick as a kid (I HATED 7-3, 8-2, and 8-3).
I have no doubt in my mind that it's true. You can see that with the recent trend in games, even dating as little back as earlier in the generation and I think it has some to do with developers making the game too easy. Games like World at War, Killzone 2, Call of Duty 4, and other games released earlier in the generation were hard as nails. The later ones aren't even remotely challenging.
I read about people having a lot of problems on God of War 3/Ascension and I ran right through them with no problem. The same with The Last of Us. Hell, I don't think I even died 10 times on the hardest difficulty. I appreciate the hard games because it gives me a challenge (except Motorstorm RC - fuck you, RC) and I really miss the games that were actually a challenge to beat.
I can imagine those people trying TMNT for NES and trying to beat level 5 or 6.
I love playing TMNT for nes . I need go threw those again. I have them all! I think I finally beat the game but using cheats on an emulator because on the regular nes I would run out of missiles on the van level after the dan . ugh so complicated back then.
