Didn't even think about this until now but you XB1 guys should make sure you have your "family" full. If you have a full family of 10 and you each bough separate games you could all play each other's games so long as only one of you was playing the game at a time. So instead of buying an old used game just play your "family" games for free.

Negative. The new controller has a new plugin. So you will either have to buy a new headset or some sort of add on to your current Turtle Beaches.

Audio from the game will, yes. The microphone, however, will not. If you have a Turtle Beach, I'd imagine they'll release an adapter so that you can use it. I know Astro better do so.
That's a good point I forgot about the audio v. mic distinction. I believe you are right that its just a mic issue I would hope/expect most manufacturers to sell adapters but who knows how long it will take for them to come out.
Yeah, it's definitely just the microphone since it has optical. That's all I really care about since that's all I mostly use mine for. But, I'm sure companies like Turtle Beach and Astro will sell adapters eventually.

Do we know if we are going to need adapters for our Astros for the PS4? I know they have a jac in the controller but I assumed it was the same as 360s so I'd just need to take the 360 plugin and pop it in the PS4 controller.
I doubt it'll be the same as the 360 plugin, but if it has optical, you'll at least still be able to use the audio, and it's practically guaranteed to have that, so at worst, you'd just have to buy an adapter to use the microphone.

Meh I rarely use my mic. I think the only thing I've ever used my mic for is Off-season in ODs and chatting with SC in Tiger. I mainly use it for sound during the game when the wife has the t.v. on in the next room.
It will be nice if it is just a adapter needed and not have to buy a whole new headset.

Like I said in the E3 thread, went ahead and place a pre-order on Amazon for now. I'll make up my mind over the next couple months whether I actually decide to get it on day one, or wait until late 2014 or 2015. I've never bought a console day one, but may as well at least make a pre-order for the time being while it's still possible to actually do so.

I would be pre ordering if I had a job as well. But job less i can't sadly until I get into the military . Damn asvab ha.
Xbox One sold out at Amazon and GS (except the overpriced game bundles). All the GS stores in my area are also sold out, too. I can't believe they went so quick. Good thing I ordered one yesterday. This has the potential to be a flipper's dream.
