Seeing this story and then watching the video brought tears to my eyes. Very noble and honourable on behalf of Nebraska. These men are the types of role models kids need.

this is the kind of stuff that needs to happen more at all levels....whether its granting a wish to a cancer victim or bringing back a soldier and surprising their family, these things need more press. i'll give props to espn....they aired the shit out of this over the weekend. and rightly so, because this vid certainly deserved it.

Man I would love to get tickets for the Arizona St. versus Notre Dame game at Cowboys Stadium in October. They haven't released tickets or pricing yet but I suspect it will be over the moon expensive.

nebraska should get one of those 6' by 2 and a half foot, or whatever the dimensions are, remakes of that and display it in its hall of champions or whatever showroom they have.

College Football Playoff will be the new name of the four-team playoff, which begins after the 2014 regular season, sources told ESPN.

I hear the prize will be called "A Trophy".

Seriously, who in the holy bloody hell got paid to come up with "College Football Playoff"? I weep for the future of this nation if THAT is the best they can possibly do for the name.

And I wonder how much money Jerry shoved into the NCAA's pockets.

Also, Arlington, Texas, and Cowboys Stadium officially will be awarded the first national championship game despite a strong bid from underdog Tampa, Fla. The first title game of the College Football Playoff will be Jan. 12, 2015.
