The console MFG's set the boundaries for what games sell for. The publishers determine what price to sell for within those boundaries. XBLA (not indie games) provide a simple example. Microsoft says the most you can charge is 1600 points and no lower than 400 points, with certain exceptions at 240 points and of course during sales.

From VGChartz, Gamestop President Tony Bartel said that the demand for the PS4 has been very strong. Over 600k have signed up to be notified when pre-ordering will be available.

Sadly I'll be waiting for the next xbox to come out. I won't be able to afford both systems and games etc by next year. Specially if the next xbox has blu ray. I'll just keep the ps3 and be good. Since everyone I play is an xbox owner. But the ps4 is looking sweet.

I should note for us NCAA/Madden gamers the loss of analog buttons on PS4 will mean EA will have to change how bullet/lob passes are thrown unless I am missing something?

Good question...maybe since its digital it can measure the time the button is held down more accurately?

I don't think so but perhaps the article is wrong re the capabilities of digital:

Back on the PS3, the D-pad and the face buttons of the DualShock were analog – meaning that they could sense pressure and change input based on it. Norton said that developers didn’t use that option, however, and the DualShock 4 ditches analog and replaces them with digital buttons. The touchpad resolution on the controller is 1920x900, and the L2/R2 buttons are curved to help avoid accidental Netflix fast forwarding.

Oh. I thought they were curved for her pleasure.

That's saying pressure-sensitive, as in if you barely press in the button vs pressing it in all the way. The way NCAA/Madden does it is for how long you hold down the button... that won't be going away.

I'm just glad the touch screen is on the front. I hate it on the back of the Vita. Any game that uses it, I turn it off just because I'll always accidentally hit it.

Ah well strike that "concern" off the list for PS4 then. I was always under the impression that the lobs/bullets were determined by how hard you pressed the button not by how long but apparently not.

Yeah, Greg Miller was making a huge deal about that. I realize he's the biggest fan boy the world has ever seen, but Jesus, the 360 has been doing that since the beginning. It should have been a feature on the PS3, but I guess it's nice they finally realized how stupid it was to be without it. Hell, my PC will even charge my Dualshock while it's turned off.

Bundling a mic with all systems is also nice. It's absolutely ridiculous how little PS3 players use a mic in competitive games. About the only games people used mics in were SOCOM and MAG, and Sony did a nice job of killing both of those.

Prepare for PSN to be just as douche-y as XBL unless they really do the real name IDs.

There will always be that. It's more annoying to me when I'm playing with randoms and absolutely no one is using a mic. That occasionally happens on 360 as well, don't get me wrong...but it happens EVERY game on PS3. The morons are easily muted.
