Interesting. I have to wonder if WVU has a policy like that being a governmentally funded public school. Probably not as I'm pretty sure I've seen opposing teams' fans in our student section before.

LMFAO Duke gets an entire region and they left out so.... many HATEDplayers b/c the entire damn bracket would just be Duke if it weren't limited to a 1/4 of the field. I'll take whoever survives the Duke region and give you the entire field and I like my chances to win it all.

I guess it all comes down to where the rule is coming from. When I sat in the student section at Ohio State, we had "rules", but none of those rules were university-enforced (or, as far as I'm aware, university-approved/sanctioned/reviewed). So from that standpoint I think people crying foul over the First is a little much. But, yes, I agree, if it's a school rule, in so much as a state-sponsored school is an extension of a government entity, then it's fair game.
It just struck me as, possibly, possibly, yet another example of people crying foul First! whenever 'speech' is infringed, but not actually acknowledging who is doing the infringing.
And yeah, I don't think this is wholly uncommon. Personally I think student section tickets should be unsellable for this very reason. Nothing good can come from being an opposing fan in a student section.

Yeah I don't have a problem with schools prohibiting students from selling their tix (especially if they are free). However, the Duke example the students were actual Miami law students that happen to have gone to Duke undergrad so if you ignore the Private school defense you still could easily have problems if you are giving tix away to grad students. There also is a lesser likelihood that your own student simply likes your rival better than his/her own school for whatever reason.

Thankfully, the college basketball season ended on Wednesday night for me.
This tourny is going to be INSANE. Any of the contenders can be beaten at ANY time. One and Done has RUINED college basketball.
Okay, but without one and done, none of the champs in the last five years would have even been as good as they were. So maybe you extend that argument to all early draftees. A little shakier.
Plus I'm fairly confident you could find several five year periods that couldn't hang with the 90s. Ohio State, besides the 60s with Jerry Lucas and all, has never had a team as talented as they did in the mid 90s, in my opinion. And, because of Michigan and Duke and others, those Ohio State teams never sniffed a title.
Saying that one and dones or high school draftees have ruined basketball is kind of akin to arguing that scholarship limits have killed football. It certainly changed the game, but it's a stretch to say ruined.

I'd love to see the same rules for football as basketball. To easy for kids to get a free pass to play ball without getting an education and better themselves after school and while I know I don't have any facts to back up my thoughts that 3 years in college gives these athletes a better chance after sports it certainly gets them closer to a degree and a chance then one year full of shitty classes.
I will add though that I love college basketball more now then I have ever in the past and that's saying something for me.

I've always been a "baseball rule" guy. There are "freaks" Lebron; Kyrie; Kobe; etc... that are CLEARLY NBA ready right out of high school. You want to play pro fine do so right out of high school. For everyone else 3 years before they are draft eligible again.
Of course its up to the NBA and not the NCAA to make this rule. Oddly, the NBA union is against this which seems odd to me. If I were a current NBA player a 3 year rule is going to give me more job security as it will keep allot of competition away from me for at least the first 3 years of the rule.

I felt like I went too chalk on my "main" bracket, but yet my Final Four consists of seeds 1, 1, 2, 5.
I've done six different brackets thus far on ESPN (ipad app) bracketology. My most unique winner... Marquette. However, in my first bracket Louisville cakewalks to the N.C.
So, the big question, can CLW hate on the Robert Morris court-storming? Or is it enough to make his court-storming heart grow Grinch-style?
