I agree with that. Call of Duty on 360 vs Call of Duty on PS3 should produce pretty similar results. I'm more or less talking about features(party system + invite system) and how the two perform. I mainly just think the 360 is way quicker with a lot of the every day things, like downloads, installing games, and downloading game patches.

Truth be told, I have some pretty major annoyances with both of the systems. I'm just ready for this generation to die and for the next one to begin.

    Latest rumors:

PS4 reportedly has 50% more raw power than 720, but half the RAM

I've also read to expect massive leaks over the next several days, so it should be very entertaining to read the comments on fan boy infested sites like N4G.

Damnit Sony, put enough RAM in the system to choke it. That's the biggest problem with the current generation, and you're going to make the same mistake again?

IOU: I agree, I guess it's just that none of those things really bother me. The only time the download speed actually has a negative effect on me is during System Updates. Any other time I really don't even pay attention. I'm normally doing background downloads of everything.

For the love of God, I just hope they fix the triggers. They are so bad.

In fact, Sony, just take a 360 controller, put your d-pad in it and call it a day.

I prefer the Dual Shock in every way. Except for the triggers.

But if one of those rumors is true and we end up with Move balls on the top of the controller

Sony’s PlayStation 4 To Feature Controller Similar To Nintendo’s Wii U GamePad?

    Spoiler: show

According to CVG sources, Sony may very well abandon the DualShock controller design with the release of the company’s inevitable next-generation home console, which will probably be called the PlayStation 4. Instead, Sony’s PlayStation 4 controller will supposedly include biometric sensors and an LCD touchscreen, not unlike Nintendo’s new Wii U GamePad. Similar to how the Wii U console is compatible with Wii Remote controllers, gamers may be able to interact with Sony’s forthcoming home console via DualShock controllers.

HELL NO! I'm pretty sure Sony is smart enough not to do that, or if they do, make it optional and make sure all games fully function with a dualshock.

Depends on the game for me. For shooters, I love everything about the 360 controller and hate virtually everything about the PS3 controller. For sports, it's the exact opposite.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Sony did have a Move ball on the top of a controller, but like the possible tablet controller, I'd imagine it would be optional. I seriously can't see Sony abandoning the dualshock design regardless of the rumors.

I HATE the 360 controller (it's the reason I have NEVER considered buying an X-Box; 360 and prob 720). In fact I HATE it soo..... much I would give up on console video gaming if/when Sony decided to make a controller like that.

How come you hate it so much? It's a much more natural controller to hold for me. I never could get used to Sony's controllers. Xbox (from original through 360), the controller feels so normal and natural for my grip.

i find comfort in knowing that i can throw my 360 controller at the floor as hard as i can, and nothing will break on me.

I can't get behind the Playstation controller either, I can do games like RPG's, actions games with it, but shooters and sports games I cant get use to it at all. It just feels so close together and I almost always press the triggers at the same time.

I think a lot of the people that hate the 360 controller just haven't used it as much. I didn't like it at first, but it really grew on me to the point that I prefer it over Sony's offering. However, I don't like the d-pad, even with the transforming d-pad. It's better, but still not nearly as good as Sony's. Also, the analog sticks' range of motion is fucked. I bought some Kontrol Freeks which solved my problem. I don't like having to fork over extra money to fix something that doesn't, IMO, work correctly, but at least it's more comfortable.

With the Dualshock, it's too small. It's also cheaply made compared to the 360 controller. I don't throw them, but I'd feel a hell of a lot more comfortable throwing a 360 controller than I would a Dualshock. I'm 99% sure the Dualshock would shatter upon impact, especially the triggers. Speaking of which, really hate the triggers. They're terrible. I bought "Real Triggers" which are amazing, but again, I don't feel as though I should have to fork over extra money to correct a screw up.

I've used both so long that I'm comfortable using either one and can adjust instantly. But, as everyone above me said, the 360 controller just feels more naturally designed for your hands.

I've used both a LOT and I prefer the PS controller. It's FAR more natural to have both sticks on the bottom of the controller and I prefer the triggers to the stupid shit that the Xbox controllers have.

That said, the controller I use for my PC is an Xbox controller just because it's easier to deal with because of dumb ass Windows.

DS fits my hands perfectly. But they're on the smaller side. That may be why I prefer it

You are literally the only person in the world that likes the triggers on the PS3 controller.

Being a "south paw" I really struggled with the 360 controller. Personally I love the ps3 dual shock because it's the best case scenario for a lefty IMO.

I don't understand why people don't like them? Are the PS3 ones drastically different from the PS2 controllers or something?

I don't remember if they're vastly different from the PS2 controller, but I just hate them because it's next to impossible to keep your fingers on them. When you push them in, they're so convex that your fingers just want to slip right off. I have Real Triggers on mine and it's just night and day.

There's a reason why virtually every single game on PS3 has aim and shoot assigned to L1 and R1 while virtually every shooter on 360 has those operations on the triggers. I still use R1 and L1 even with the Real Triggers, but that's just out of habit.

They're also kind of mushy when pressed.

I definitely don't see why that's a big deal. I LOVE the R and L buttons on the PS2/3 because they enable me to hit them MUCH faster than I can pull the stupid trigger on the Xbox controller. I can, easily, hit R2 or L2 two or three times as fast as I can pull the right or left trigger.

The image of the PS4 controller (just a Wii U one photoshopped) wouldn't be that bad. The Wii U controller is actually pretty nice. I'm very used to it although I haven't tried any sports games on it. If Madden 14 is just as good as the PS3 game I would strongly consider it for touch screen play calling and hot routes. As an offline gamer I would have no real issues other than sharing the console with my kids.
