Most people aren't expecting it to be at this point. It distinctly looks like he's wearing a Starfleet uniform, which doesn't fit with any of the established Khan background. It would be a total re-write of the character if they did that.

Would've been a lot more impressed with it if they'd actually tried to hide the fact that it was Earth.

EDIT: Also if it wasn't so blatantly a vehicle to launch Jaden as a "star".

I think it'll be cool, but it is a Shyamalan film, so it could be hit or miss.

Meh, I never understood everyone's fascination with Wrath of Khan and Khan in general. But, then, I HATED the original Star Trek television show and, apparently, he was a big villain in that and thus, where the fascination with him really surfaced.

Of course, I'm pure blaspheme (or, at least I've been told as much) in liking Star Trek VI and Star Trek I the most out of the six original story movies so
