Sacks and turnovers had dried up for the last few years. 48 sacks this year and I can remember 3 interceptions in the end zone (Cardinals, Bengals, Browns). And not to forget that was with one arm cover liability Blake and with old as ever Will Allen who at my weight and age I still may be able to out run lol

The run defense was definitely an improvement as well. Past few years seem like teams were able to run and throw at will. Coupled with the fact that the pass rush didn't get any pressure or force turnovers. Would like like to see the CB's tighter forcing more difficult throws since the pass rush can't always be relied upon, but that goes against the scheme. Still for a first year with a rebuilding defense definitely cannot ask for any more than they had this season. Was refreshing to see.

Penalties also seem to be down
