Yeah, I thought I remembered you being in it before.
so far the list is very slim for my enjoyment gears , cod bo1 and south park stick of truth that about it for me. Very boring list. Microsoft gotta do better.
Found this article which seems to infer that backwards compatibility requires games be re-licensed. Probably since they are being used on a console that was not in the original licensing contract.

According to Microsoft’s Group Program Manager Richard Irving, publishers have “cut very specific deals” on content, and this is where licensing comes into play.
“As you can imagine, publishers have cut very specific deals on some of that content.
“For example Madden – you can imagine how many licenses go into a game with the players, the NFL, sponsors and so on. And there’s over 1000 games at this point on Xbox 360.
“It didn’t seem fair to ask our partners to go off and find licenses for all this Xbox 360 content so what we opted to do instead was to give fans the opportunity to prioritize which games they want

Spoiler: show
I already jumped on Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition for $20 and have it downloading at home right now. An amazing game and all the DLC for only $20, when the physical and PS4 digital GOTY edition is still going for $35-$40.
I bought Shadow of Mordor for full price back in the Spring or early summer on PS4 and loved it. I'd been tempted to get it for Xbox One as well back in September and October since it was down to around $30. Now for $20, I'm game!
Wish Burnout Paradise was in the sale. I was at the mall doing Christmas shopping and briefly jumped into a Gamestop, they wanted $20 for it![]()

I'm digging the backwards compatible games.
Just picked up Supreme Commander 2, and both Rainbow 6 games, it was a buy 2 get 1 free sale at a local video game exchange store. I bought all 3 games for $24.![]()
jaymo, I'm betting you should do it through the marketplace or on your 360 (if you had one), then the license will be tied to your account. From there, the XB1 will then recognize it off your account and it will show up in the "ready to install" section of the My Games app on XB1.
Just a guess though.
"Through 8 February 2016, purchase Fallout 4 and receive Fallout 3 on Xbox 360. The code for Fallout 3 will be delivered to your Xbox message center in 7-10 days. Redeem your code on Xbox One or Xbox.com. Fallout 3 will be backward compatible, so you can play it on Xbox One starting 12 November."
Someone has a fever and the only prescription is more Fallout.![]()
New Vegas is my favorite of the Fallout series. It has the most actual RPG elements whereas 3 & (even more so) 4 just basically take you on for the ride.
