Got to hand it to OSU. They sent Bama and their fans home for next week. Kind of nice to see an non sec team or a team from the south in the NC this year.

Looks like SEC west wasn't that though as a number of people thought they were. SEC West went 2-5 in bowl games and SEC East is 3-0 in their bowl games. With Tenn and Fla playing the last two bowl games for the SEC.

Lets make one thing clear: There is true parity in college football. There is no best conference. The SEC is not good. It is not bad. It is just another Power 5 conference.

This is a great thing for college football. I'm excited.

I hope that my comment wasn't taken as SEC vs Big 10 or SEC vs whatever. I could care less about all the talk about which conference is better, because I agree that there is not one. All power 5 conferences have their ups and downs.

I just heard a lot of SEC people talk about how much better the SEC west was then the east this year, but the west didn't do so well in the bowl games this year.

Nothing to take away from OSU win over Bama as they out played them in that game and won. I'm just glad to see Bama and their fans get knock down a peg or two after that game.

I think everyone is glad to see Alabama get knocked down a peg or two.

They might want to stop playing in the Sugar Bowl though. They have now lost their last three games in the Sugar Bowl (31-17 to Utah in 2009, 45-31 to Oklahoma in 2014 and 42-35 to Ohio State last night).

In fact, outside of the BCS National Championship Game, they suck in the top bowl games.

    2015 - Sugar Bowl - L (Ohio State - 42-35)
    2014 - Sugar Bowl - L (Oklahoma - 45-31)
    2009 - Sugar Bowl - L (Utah - 31-17)
    2000 - Orange Bowl - L (Michigan - 35-34)
    1993 - Sugar Bowl - W (Miami 34-13)
    1991 - Fiesta Bowl - L (Louisville 34-7)
    1990 - Sugar Bowl - L (Miami 33-25)

The last time they did any good in the Sugar Bowl was in the second half of the 70s. And don't forget that for most of the 90s and up through around 2007, they either sucked or were largely mediocre. But, a couple good seasons and some favorable rankings by the flawed BCS, and all those years of suck get forgotten and any future teams/seasons get judged solely on seasons from 2-3+ years ago.

That is impossible. You see, according to ram, it's all fixed and we should all feel strongly that one particular team will win so that we all bet on them and then they lose.

I think the Big Ten's victories over the SEC may change the ESPN hype train next season, but the investment in the SEC network may influence that (though Fowler claims otherwise).
