Speaking of a career mode, there is a group of people that have created quite an extensive Tour mode. You have to go to Q-School, qualify and your scores will dictate what tour you play in, etc.

    http://www.tgctours.com/

    Features included in TGC Tours
    For Golfers
    - Initial Qualifying School (top 40% up to 125 and ties get PGA Tour card, next 40% up to 150 and ties receive Web.com Tour card)
    - FedEx Cup playoffs (PGA Tour), Web.com Tour Finals (promotion to PGA Tour), Qualifying School (promotion to Web.com Tour)
    - Extensive stat tracking, displayed on your own custom player profile page.
    - Real-life automated progressive round leaderboards.
    - Full names on leaderboards (no gamertags)
    - Your country flag and country club membership on your profile page and leaderboard.
    - Report your own score (sign your scorecard).
    - Official World Golf Rankings (gain entry into World Golf Championship events).
    - Three open tours for non-card holding (PGA or Web.com) members (Champions Tour, European Tour, Executive Tour).
    - Country Clubs and the Tavistock Cup (become a member of a club).
    - Manage your schedule on the PGA Tour (cannot enter in every PGA Tour event in a season).
    - Earn Sponsor’s Exemptions into PGA Tour and Web.com Tour events (for non-card holders) by placing well in open tours.
    - Extensive search page (with filters) of our entire database of courses submitted by TGC’s designers making it easy to find a quality course that you want to play.
    - End of year awards to players, courses, and designers.

You know what I meant there.

If Madden had no Franchise mode and I wanted to do one, I'd have to sit there manually creating an entire season's schedule, play every single game for every team in Play Now games, keep track of the standings every week, keep track of stats every week, etc., exactly how it is now if I wanted to do a career mode in this game.

My NCAA dynasty, all of that is already done for me by the game. I'm just playing the games and posting the results.

Thanks, did not know about that.

I do think comparisons should be made and if it is a minus for having no career mode (at half the price), what is the plus for the course creator and not having to purchase, in addition to the game, the same dlc??

New theme coming in the next update. Yes, there is another update coming to the game.

    Also a handicap system.

    Quick overview
    * You start with no handicap
    * playing 5 rounds on handicap rated courses will give you a handicap
    * courses become handicap rated once they've been played 200+ times
    * when a course becomes handicap rated, holes will be given a Stroke Index
    * Handicaps can be from 38 to infinity (for good players this will be a + handicap. Tiger Wood's is +8 last time i looked)
    * so as an example people with an 18 Handicap will be given 1 shot per hole (shooting a 6 on a par 5 would class as par) . People with a +2 handicap, like myself, will get 2 shots added to their score on holes with an SI of 18 and 17 (the two easiest holes on the course)

They added a couple snow covered courses, which was a nice touch. Odd decision to make the greens slow but to their credit they keep supporting the game.

I really have enjoyed this game but I just wish we could get a small group of guys here to play together at the same time every now in then.

Imagine that, a company that supports its product...refreshing

One can only hope this type of thing rubs off on other developers. They are still working on numerous additions to the game.

It was my understanding that they would support the product for the entire gen. Basically free continuous support/upgrade/fix and major updates would come later as optional paid DLC.

Yeah that would be fun but I think there are probably only 4 of us here (tops) that even have the game.

Anyone joined any tours yet? I've been invited to join a couple but keep thinking we may do one here.
