because they helped KC win during the last month after the riots happened and the A's lose so the one game playoff with extra innings was home in KC. The same week the Chiefs blowout the Pats the night before. Sedate the Masses.

but notice all the major market teams that still made the playoffs. The Cards didn't go all the way but still made it to the last round = purpose served. a small market team is in while serving the purpose of sedating a community. The rest of the country that doesn't care still gets a major market popular team in the Series.

The script SHOULD have been KC vs. St. Louis as a rivalry series was the most interesting match-up because I guess the script writers wanted to continue the current trend of the Giants winning every other year.

Archie Manning is on the selection committee and the ncaa has a week 6 where all the top schools fall yet both Mississippi schools, Ol' Miss and Mississippi State are undefeated and ranked 1 and 3. These schools haven't been that relevant since the 60s or there abouts but now all the sudden they are relevant at the same time ?

but of course you think its all a fantastic coincidence.......?

the Kickoff classic game this year at the beginning of the college season had Ole Miss in it.....oh, what a surprise they are this year,huh ?
