Houston assured themselves of their first non-losing season in 6 years on Friday night in Flushing with a 2-1 win over the Mets at Citi Field.

The game's only runs all came courtesy of solo home runs.

Chris Carter hit his 34th of the season in the top of the 1st, Travis d'Arnaud leveled the score with his 3rd homer in the bottom of the 5th inning and Jon Singleton provided the difference-maker, his 14th, in the top of the 7th.

The real story, however, was the final start of 2014 for 25-year-old rookie Asher Wojciechski. Wojciechski, in his 4th start, pitched a complete game, scattering 6 hits while walking just 1 and striking out a dozen Mets.

Wojciechski finishes his September stint with the big club, going 3-0 with a 0.89 ERA. The righty struck out 31 and walked just 8 in 30.1 innings. He posted a WHIP of 0.63, allowing 14 hits and just 1 long ball. Lefties hit .167 against him, while righties batted just .098.
