Heartbreak for Port Vale in the Round 3 Replay of the FA Cup. After a 4-4 draw at the Championship League side, Derby County, in Round 3, I hosted them for the Replay. I had leads of 1-0 and 2-1, but fell behind 3-2 late only to equalize at 86' to force Extra Time. The first extra period ended level at 3-3 but Derby pushed ahead in the 113' and, despite a furious effort, my boys could not equalize to force penalties.

Just got blasted at my home ground by Chesterfield, 5-1. Due to fatigue, I had to go with a very unsavory lineup and I paid dearly.

Ok Steelerfan here you go...

I'm playing using your sliders, 15-min halves, semi-pro, manual controls. Both goals came on Penalty kicks, I have no clue what happened on theirs, they had a corner their guy jumped for the header he hit it over the top bar and the ref signaled for a penalty which they converted. On mine I had a break away, took the shot it rebounded off the keeper and he tackled me while going for the ball in the box. I was lucky, my pen-kick bounced off the keepers out-stretched hand off the wood-work and in.

I really want to learn to play on all manual controls, the biggest problem is learning to shoot, it seems like I'll shoot very wide of the goal I'm sure it's the direction I'm pressing but it's hard for my brain to orient, it seems like if I'm facing left to right for example and I press the L-stick in the 9 o'clock position the ball is somewhat on target, if I just barely move it towards 10 or 8 o'clock BOOM way off target.....More practice needed.

Next match, tried moving the user sliders to all 50s (default). I left the CPU sliders the way you have them. I moved the difficulty to Amateur

I'm getting a lot of shots off just hard to get them on target, manual shooting is HARD. I do like manual passing it seems to lead the receiver more less passes directly at their feet, they pass into space almost like thru passes it's nice.

Gus, my sliders are not going to work with any skill level except World Class. The positioning and pace will be fine, but everything else will be borked.

If you're not going to play on World Class, pick your skill level, play a couple matches at default and post the stats (without making changes). I'll take a look and make some recommendations. That said, Speed, Acceleration, and all Positioning sliders should be universal so those should be ok on any skill level.

As an additional piece of advise, I would not play below Professional. Semi is way too easy and you'll soon be moving on because no slider adjustments can make Semi competitive.

EDIT: Do you play on all manual controls? I've been trying to learn them and have been getting my butt handed to me, so I've kept your sliders but put it on amateur. I beat the CPU 3-2.

Then I left everything the same, but put the controls on semi and beat the cpu 12-0. I had 29 shots and 23 of them where on target. The controls make all the difference in the world if you ask me. I'll try a higher difficulty setting but the manually shooting, passing, crossing is very VERY hard to be accurate with. When I put the controls on semi it was a walk in the park.

Ok sounds good thanks. I'm just saying for realistic sake, it seems like manual controls are more realistic. I watched a lot of futbol this weekend, EPL, MLS, etc... there are quite a few shots taken by each team but a lot of them don't even come close to being on target. I was surprised by how many are off target in real life.

If you're around 35%, that is very realistic. However, in EPL, top clubs will be much better. Chelsea is at 59% this season.
