Would you pay $20K for the 720?
http://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged...180123079.html
I'm guessing staged. Or some dumbass just dropped $20,000 for a "custom" PC tower shell and will be going through the hassle with ebay of buying a fake item.
That, and aren't those development systems still property of Microsoft? So if it was real, the guy who sold it was essentially selling stolen property, and the guy buying it was buying stolen property. I also fail to believe that any lawyer with a fucking brain (rare as they may be) would tell the guy "sure, go right ahead!" and find what that guy wanted to do to have absolutely no legal issues.
Exactly. There are no games for it, so basically you're buying a bunch of hardware that has no more use than a paperweight. And even when the actual 720 comes out, there is no guarantee whatsoever that you'd ever be able to play 720 games on it, not if some dimensions, hardware, software, etc got changed from that to the official product.
PS4 = 4K CNET Says "Who Cares?"
http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-33199_7...ps4-who-cares/
I agree about the "who cares". To me, graphics are nice enough as they are and I can't imagine 4k TVs will become terribly popular like 1080p did. Considering today's PCs don't really handle 4k video, I can't imagine a gaming console would CHEAPLY handle 4k. I'm not interested in buying another $500 console at launch... $400 is my ceiling and even then it would be hard to convince me unless the games themselves are impressive.
Not to give you tv envybut gaming is awesome on the 73inch and here is the 92inch http://www.amazon.com/Mitsubishi-WD-.../dp/B004ZL2O9U
God bless America, where half this shit isn't even remotely useful in it's intended purpose, but people will still piss money down the drain because they'll view it as a must have status item to show off and brag about to their friends.
Just like all the Apple/iPhone people. Sitting there buying a brand new iPhone every 6 months or whenever when Apple releases one, simply because of the appearance and it being a status item. I still have the same phone I've had for 2 1/2 years. I got my first cell phone in 2004. I've had a grand total of 3 cell phones in my life. Granted, I'm gonna have to get a new cell phone in due time because the touchscreen on my current phone is going to shit.
I've been perfectly happy with the TV I've had since 2009, a rather simple and somewhat modest 38" HDTV with only 720p capabilities. I don't need all the fancy gadgets, the internet connected TV, the 1080p, the 50"+, etc. I never even got my 360 until just before 2009, when Xbox and PS2 support were starting to die and I had no choice.
I just don't understand some of it.
I always wanted one of those curved monitors that Alienware revealed a few years ago. That thing looked awesome.
Let's just say that the only reason I don't still have a flip phone is because I had broken my last three because part of the wiring in the flip broke.
