Hell of a move by me to pick up SS Josh Rutledge of Colorado last week. Homered in 4th straight game tonight.
Looks like I'm going to make the playoffs in two of three $ leagues. The one I didn't make it in, I made a great push from 11th to 7th in five weeks.....but it doesn't look like it's going to be enough. The guy in 6th went 10-4-0 last week, which killed my chances basically. Had to beat him by 9 this week to make it.
As for the other leagues....I'm sitting at a #1 and #4 seed so far, could turn into #1 and #2. The problem with the league I'm #1 in, 8 teams make the playoffs, I've had the #1 seed twice and lost to the 8th seed in the first roundIt's a points league in CBS instead of a 7x7 or 5x5 that I'm in for Yahoo. Lot better chance for a one-week upset.
Me too. I was floating around the lower middle but my team finally got healthy and I've been destroying people. Only like 4 games out of 1st right now. Of course Kemp and Molina running into walls and other players this week might hurt me

I actually held tight on trades this year. Last year I pulled off a dandy late that pushed me through to the finals. This year when I was down people kept offering up trades but I held and it's paying off. Felix Hernandez was a big one I got a bunch of offers for along with Trumbo and Stanton.
My other major trade bit me in the ass. But it bit him in the ass too. I traded Jose Bautista and David Robertson for Justin Upton and Brandon Beachy. I got one start out of Beachy before he went on the DL with Tommy John surgery.
