Right. all of that was within the first 30 or 40 hours before I actually did the rest of the main quest and found out how incredibly *** it all was.

Once again, a game that should have me putting 120+ hours into it got probably 50 hours or so and then completely uninstalled and never touched again.

They fucked up a LOT of things with Skyrim.

Can't believe I had put this game down for six months. Mainly was waiting out the patches (now they're currently at v. 1.05) then just kinda got wrapped up in other games. Played a ton of this after DJ'ing on Saturday night. Just like riding a bike. Had to make sure to save often. There were some hairy situations I got myself into in a dungeon and also against the Forlorn.

Currently using an Elven Mace in one hand and the fire spell that shoots out a constant flame in the other hand.

Apparently the big draw from Dawnguard (being a vampire and all that stupid shit) is terrible. Like everything else, Bethesda can't write a story worth shit.

So I put this away for five months as I was waiting for the patches to drop to make sure my saves weren't f'd. So now that I have finally got back into it, I'm sucked back in. I think I put in about 15 hours over the weekend, all just on a few Thieves Guild quests

Skyrim 1.7 patch headed to PS3 'in the coming weeks,' but Dawnguard is nowhere in sight

Don't fret, PlayStation 3 Skyrimmers, Bethesda says the game's 1.7 patch is heading to Sony's console "in the coming weeks." Bethesda acknowledged as much in a tweet yesterday afternoon. The game's 1.7 patch on PS3 includes the various updates from 1.6 (mounted combat, new kill cams, etc.), but it falls short of adding the Dawnguard DLC, which is still exclusive to Xbox 360.

That DLC was issued a 30-day exclusivity period earlier this year – a period which expires today, reports Kotaku – but Bethesda's VP of marketing Pete Hines stated on Twitter, "We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news. If we have news, I promise I'd tell you." He followed that up by saying, "I was simply stating that expecting/demanding something today is unfounded. Not that news is never coming." It sounds like Dawnguard may yet head to other platforms (eventually).

We've reached out to Bethesda for further comment and will let you know if we hear back.

Basically. But I'll get it for 360 eventually just like I did with Oblivion. I'm holding out for a huge blowout sale on the Collector's Edition.

You're wasting your time JB. Dawnguard is a steaming pile of shit from everything I've read from people that don't just flock to whatever shit Bethesda throws out.

Based on our complete opposite ends of interest in Oblivion and Skyrim, I'll probably love Dawnguard no matter the case, who the hell knows when it will be out for PS3.

I, most definitely, didn't buy that shit just like I didn't buy Oblivion or Skyrim. There's no way in hell I'd give Bethesda my money for the shit products that they put out.

My opinion on Dawnguard is based on numerous reviews I've read and heard from various media outlets. Only good review I've seen is from someone that buys pretty much anything Bethesda puts out (like you ).

Skyrim's 'Hearthfire' expansion tends the home September 4

Skyrim's "Hearthfire" expansion became official this morning – an add-on allowing adventurers who took one too many arrows to the knee to become domestics (Dovamestic?). Hearthfire enables players to build their own home, create additions to said home, and help raise children. Those rooms can be profession-specific – for instance, a room dedicated to herbalism. The joys of domestic life!

"From a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with armory, alchemy laboratory, and more," Bethesda said of the DLC. "Choose your land, customize your house, guard it from unwanted visitors, and turn your house into a home by adopting children." Apparently, in the fantasy world of Skyrim, houses aren't homes without children.

Hearthfire will be available September 4 on Xbox 360 for 400 Microsoft Points ($5), no other platforms are mentioned at this time. Skyrim's previous DLC, Dawnguard, took around a month to make its way to PC, but the PS3 version experienced some hiccups.

J.B., have they patched the missed trophies yet? I am stuck at 97% because I missed one of the Daedra quests. I really don't want to start over to get that.

I wasn't aware of that issue. Which trophy is it specifically?

Yes because I don't have the patience to deal with all the bullshit to continue to play Skyrim. It's a very polished shitty game. The leveling system sucks. The Perk System is TERRIBLE. The story sucks. The dialog is only slightly better than Oblivion (which was TERRIBLE).
