Almost had the 320GB full. So it'll take 9 hours each way for backup and restore.

I think the 160GB transfer took around 5 hours.

Gonna put in the new HDD and restore tonight in time to download Madden from Season Ticket.

Friday I assume. I haven't even got Season Ticket yet. So I don't know the schedule of release. Going to purchase it Friday after work.

Damn hard drive was too thick to put in the cradle so I put it in there without the cradle and turned on the PS3 and it wouldn't recognize the hard drive...thought I was SOL, but took it out and put it back in and it worked. Just need to be careful not to bump the system too much and jar the HDD loose. In the process of restoring now.

Yeah, shouldn't have had any problem. Laptop HDDs (which is what these are) have to be standard sizes to fit into laptops so they should fit in the PS3 the same way.

The PS3 metal cradle was the problem.

Right, but again, the drives are designed to fit into that cradle.

Yeah not sure why it wouldn't on the left hand side there is an overlap on the metal wall, and that was where I ran into problems.

This is the drive I got:

Well all-in-all, the drive is installed (though without a cradle) and the system is restored so I'm happy

    Odd.
Well ... 99% of HDDs are going to look the same. According to NewEgg there is a slight difference in the size between the two. Maybe enough to make a difference with the cradle. The height difference was a few mm.

Yep the one wall of the cradle curls over the HDD which was the problem...along with the HDD and cradle only going in half way when I cut out that wall. At least it worked without the cradle, and I don't intend on moving my system until PS4.

I have so many PSN games though I had to let it run through the cache because it was taking forever for those games to load in the folder I created.

Snuck in a couple of rounds of Counterstrike: GO last night. I'm impressed for a shooter that cost me $12 (PS+ Price) I really dug it. It's fast paced, rounds go quick, no respawn. And it has a

That's nothing. The Steam version has 180 achievements, I believe.

I think that probably matches the in-game achievements. There aren't many trophies, but the is the one that matters

I may try to get the platinum because it's a fun game. Not sure how impossible they will be to get yet.

I need to look at all these PS+ games I downloaded to see what does and what does not have the

I've been messing with Pac-Man lately I don't think it has a plat and I'm nearly done with all the trophies but its still a fun/free throwback to the arcade days growing up as a kid in the 80s.

For the PS3, they're not bad. On 360, there's one for 10,000 kills. I don't know why they have different lists. There's a couple on PS3 that look pretty challenging because it's all luck, but it's far more obtainable than the ones for 360.
