Team Ratings and Top 25 in NCAA Football 13

Historically the Top 25 has not been based solely on player ratings. If that was true, it would simply be in order from highest OVR to lowest. And that hasn't been the case.

Or, for that matter, go to Ohio State.

well..thats incredibly vague, what else is it based on then ? If their ratings arent based on the real world, then what else would they be based on other then the ratings they give the players?

No, but i just noticed that in the Demo that alot (and i mean alot) of big 12 teams are rated in the top 25. Overall in the raitings i think their the strongest Confernce in the game. I really don't wan't to do the math..... but im going to add up all the Confernces Overall total and divide by said Confernce member number to get the averrages of all the confernces...........Tommorow

Well, for years it suspiciously matched up well with the Athlon Top 25. I think it's just their own Top 25. But if you go through the Top 119 at the beginning of a dynasty, you'll see some teams lower ranked but rated higher than those above them. So it's clearly not a simple order of OVR.

oh, ok, yeah,..like the fact that youll find ratings gems in San Jose players or Ark State players which can make the team competative when using them but they arent that good as a whole team numbers wise..or a couple other variables as well
