    Fuck the NFL.

1/1 is bowl day. Too bad BCS and Sundays ruin that.

Seen a poll on ESPN (Sportsnation) that asks Who is more deserving of a shot at the national title?

    Oklahoma State - 60%

    Alabama - 40%

Why do people feel that way? Is it because nobody wants to watch Alabama and LSU play again? Or does the majority feel it would be a better game?

Bama's only loss came against the still #1 team in a close game at that. Okie State's only loss came against a 6-7 team. Oklahoma State is the "sexier" of the two I get that but I honestly don't know what else.

I don't really follow CFB that strongly, I mean I watch it but its nothing in comparison of how I follow the NFL.

I guarantee that poll would be different if the Stanford kicker could make a FG

I know I hate to see polls after 1 team has played prior to the national championship game.

I'm not going to rehash EVERYTHING that was posted in the bowl breakdown thread, but, short story, Oklahoma State played in the best conference this year (FACT: Big 12, including bowl games so far, has lost THREE out of conference games all year) and won the conference fair and square, all the while, playing a tough overall schedule, than that of Alabama. Hard to argue for Alabama being there in my opinion. It's straight up SEC biased bullshit.

Auburn Tigers RB Michael Dyer Filing Paperwork at Arkansas State

The many rumors of a possible transfer by Auburn running back Michael Dyer to join new Arkansas State Red Wolves head coach Gus Malzahn appear to have some truth to them.
National Football Authority has learned that Dyer, a sophomore All SEC running back at Auburn this season, filed paperwork this afternoon to enroll at Arkansas State University. The rumors started swirling recently after tweets from two Arkansas State players suggested Auburn's rushing leader from the 2011 season was ready to make a move after falling out of grace with the Tigers as a result of his bowl game suspension.

It has been said that Dyer may request a medical hardship so that he can still play in the upcoming season and be near family that is ill. That however is purely speculation and has not been confirmed as of yet.

National Football Authority college football writer Lisa Turner is following this story and will provide you with more details and sources confirming what we have learned.

Dyer rushed for 1,242 yards on 242 attempts with 10 touchdowns in the 2011 season.

Did Clemson send high school players to their bowl game instead?

Nope. The ACC can suck WVU's collective dicks. Didn't want to go to their shitty conference anyway. Bunch of pussies.

It was Clemson being Clemson, that seems to be there M.O when they are in theory good, they never show up when they need to. Personally I don't believe the ACC or the Big East are worth a damn honestly, in Clemson defense if it could go wrong it went wrong and it wasn't shit they could do about it.

This I subscribe to as long as I can remember. How you don't have pride to show up and play is beyond me though.

Alshon Jeffery, Stephon Gilmore declare for NFL Draft

South Carolina junior wide receiver Alshon Jeffery said Thursday that he is declaring for the NFL draft.

South Carolina junior cornerback Stephon Gilmore also will enter the draft, a source said Thursday. Gilmore had an interception and five tackles in the Gamecocks' 30-13 victory over Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl.

The 6-foot-4, 229-pound Jeffery had 49 catches for 762 yards and eight touchdowns this season. He is rated 25th overall and the third-rated receiver according to ESPN Scouts Inc.

"I'm ready for the next step. I'm physical and can make plays in the red zone. I can make big plays in big games. I can work on my speed and get quicker. I want to be like (NFL receivers) Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson and Andre Johnson," Jeffery told ESPN.com on Thursday.

Earlier on Twitter, Jeffery tweeted, in part, "I would like to thank the fans, my teammates , coach spurrier and everyone involved for all the opportunities south Carolina has provided me, I am proud to say I will always be a gamecock."

Neither Jeffery nor Gilmore have retained an agent, sources told ESPN.com's Chris Low. Not having representation gives the players the right to change their minds by Jan. 14 in order to return to school. The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft is Jan. 15.

Woohoo Channing Ward commits to Ole Miss at the UA AA Game. Him and Issac Gross looked really good out there, they were making plays and pushing the line back. Hugh Freeze has done an outstanding job recruiting, Channing Ward was not even considering Ole Miss before getting Freeze on board. He also has us in good standing with Richie Brown an explosive LB offered by Bama, LSU, & Tenn.

I was really amazed, I'd heard that Gus Malzahn was going to Ark St, but didn't know what happened to the previous Ark St coach. I figured if you went 10-2 you wouldn't get fired so I assumed he went somewhere else.

Well I watched the entire Go Daddy.com bowl game last night and the announcers talked about Gus Malzahn and the interm head coach at Ark St, but never once mentioned what happened to the previous coach.

I got up this morning and did a google search and see he's going to Miss St. I just find it amazing that they don't mention him at all the entire game. Seemed strange.
