Also was thinking, since we feel that the Walkers kind of do what was accustom to them in real life. I wonder if Otis is going to come stumbling back at some point?
    Spoiler: show

I don't think Otis will come back. I'm pretty sure he got mutilated. Hard telling though...but when you have a big group of walkers feeding, the body usually gets pulled apart big time.

I really don't know what to think about all the walkers in the hayloft. Pretty sure Hershel is experimenting to try to understand it all, but I have a feeling this is going to bite them in the ass. I bet the farm gets overrun, and only the daughter comes out of it. Maybe just the daughter and Hershel. We might lose Carol out of the group too. Then they will end up having to continue to move on to Fort Bend (?)

    Walking Dead

    Spoiler: show

    Yeah Daryl is a badass....

Description of the scene from last night on EW.com:

Merle also energized Daryl, who suddenly awoke from his brother-dream to discover a zombie gnawing on his shoe. Here is what Daryl Dixon did, with the key points in italics: Tackled the zombie and crushed in his head; pulled a freaking arrow out of himself; loaded that arrow into his crossbow; and shot that arrow at the zombie. Then Daryl carved open a varmint and ate its innards raw. Then he sliced the ears off his zombie kills and made himself an ear necklace. This was either a reference to Blood Meridian or to Universal Soldier, and either way it was awesome, because it seemed to suggest that our beloved Daryl was becoming genuinely unhinged.

The official Facebook page for The Walking Dead asked what you thought of last night's episode...a lot of positive responses....this comment made me laugh my ass off...

I think Hershel is as crazy as a shithouse rat!

This was the first time I watched it live this season. Watched it with Jess, it was her first episode ever, she's now interested in going back and seeing the first season and beginning of the second.

My take on this past The Walking Dead episode:

    Spoiler: show
Finally, we have a reason for all the weirdness from Hershel. Definitely hope it's him experimenting on them to try to cure them or something along those lines.

I think Daryl definitely ends up finding Sophia now. There's no way he doesn't They've spent WAY too much time on it for him not to find her. I am a bit disappointed that, so far, this entire season has been devoted to finding her. That's kinda crappy.

Overall, I'm definitely still interested to see where they are going with the show. As meandering as it seemed the show was starting to become, it's picked up some the past two episodes.

What's wrong with it, I liked the past episode...a lot of character building. Yeah there was only one zombie that died (i think) but a bunch of the characters are changing roles.

EDIT: NEVER MIND! Totally forgot about Andrea going ape shit in the subs haha.

It's just gotten cheesy. Yeah they are character building but not in a good way. I'm really disappointed that Hershel is keep the Walkers only because they are his family and people he knows. They could have done so much with that but didn't.

Andrea is really going downhill. I'm tired of the "I wanna be a bad ass" act. Mors I know she's your favorite but she's just getting annoying. Her going ape in the subs was ridiculous. They were in a horde of about 50 Walkers and they calmly mowed them down and easily escaped?. And now she's a sharp shooter? Give me a break. I've been shooting my whole life and you don't turn the switch that easy and cheesily.(Yes I know it's a TV show but come on). And Shane nailing every Walker in the head.. BS! He's never shot like that the entire series and there's nobody that can shoot like that, I shouldn't say nobody but definitely not a local town cop.

And the part where they driving back and she grabs his junk and they get it on. STUPID.

The part with Dale telling Shane to leave was bad too.

Sophia is dead, quit dragging it on.

They need to leave the farm. It's getting dull and pointless. I understand that in real life yes you would want to stay there, but for TV ratings you need to move on.

The only good part last night was in the drug store when they got attacked. But there was also the fact that they casually ride into town, tie the horses up in plain site and casually go into the store. There is just now way with zombies running around you are leaving your horses lied up for a feeding and just casually walking around. I understand that it's secluded and they don't usually encounter Walkers but there is no nervousness at all. That has been a big part of this show. They are constantly on edge, as they should be. Always looking around the corner...etc. And now at this farm they are just willy nilly whatever.

Oh I just remembered my other BIG problem with last night's episode. I understand you want to teach people to shoot. But you have no access to more ammo and you're burning it on a gun range? And how many rounds did Andrea go through trying to hit that log? 15, at least. Then there's also the fact that Walkers are attracted to noise. A whole bunch of gunshots don't bring any Walkers in... takes me back to my point about the willy nilly attitude. DUMB

    Spoiler: show
A chick wrote this episode if it helps you any haha.

Hershel keeping the Walkers because they are his family seems pretty reasonable, the human nature is to help and love your family. He's probably hoping for a cure and I could see people doing that if it was real life.

Them getting it on after the subs makes a little sense, she just got done capping a bunch of Walkers and her is adrenaline is pumping. Just like that dude said on the Talking Dead "She found out a gun is just a big vibrator that shoots bullets." Guns somehow do make girls horny haha...

Sophia sucks. They do need to leave the farm and hurry on to their next location which I'm excited about!

Them having a shooting range when the Walkers are attracted by noise WAS STUPID! It's like the female writer didn't watch any of the previous episodes or some shit. Other than that I'll keep watching and I'm enjoying it.

Also another good point the guy made about it being a female writer. No way a guy writer would have Rick react like that about her cheating on him. She cheated on him....she's prego...Theres so much he could question and be pissed of at her about. "Couldn't wait a month?!" "Is it even my kid?" "I HATE YOU WHORE!" But nah he's just like it's ok....

Well that makes a lot of sense then. I understand the basis behind the events that took place, Hershel and the walkers, Andrea's adrenalin but that doesn't mean it makes for good TB. And the Rick reaction hopefully just means that they are wrapping this up with Lori/Shane/Rick.

Well, son of a bitch, I just had the next episode TOTALLY spoiled for me by the imdb.com boards... FUCK! Read the spoiler if you REALLY want to know (again, it's a complete and utter spoiler for next week's episode)

    Spoiler: show
Short and sweet, Sophia is a zombie in the barn. She walked up to the farm and, instead of killing her, was put in there like all the others

Again, DON'T READ the spoiler section unless you want the next episode spoiled for you.

Not a next episode spoiler here, so you can read. Just more of my thoughts on the series and last night's episode.

    Spoiler: show
I gotta say, I didn't really have a problem with it. It sucks that hot ass Andrea got with psychopath Shane, but I kinda figured it was gonna happen sooner or later. Was hoping for Daryl instead, but, oh well.

The part with Dale telling Shane to leave was just because he knows what type of man Shane really is and he's trying to protect Andrea (In the comics, Andrea and Amy were actually using Dale to survive by occasionally giving him sexual favors for staying with him, but, obviously, they never chose to explain that in the show).

As for her being awesome at shooting, yeah, it was kinda silly, but that's TV for ya.

As for the gun range stuff, well, they did drive off somewhere to do it, so, I'm assuming they went somewhere remote but out in the open so that they could see the zombies coming if they did get attacked. Again, I didn't have a problem with it.

With the drugstore attack, well, they obviously felt safe enough there to bone the last time they visited so I don't see why this time would be any different. I mean, the way the girl was talking, she'd never actually seen any zombies besides the ones that they have locked up in their barn, so, I would have to assume that she never ran into any while in the town that they were traveling to to get the supplies. Again, not really an issue there either (though I saw it coming a mile away).

I wonder if it has any affect on Daryl since he seems the most determined with her being alive

Yeah my biggest complaint was the barn and the mowing down of zombies in the development. That and just the cheesiness of the episode. This is what the series has avoided and they seemed to go away from that last night.
