Well there's no way Texas is going to give up those Wyoming, New Mexico and New Mexico State games. Gotta be guaranteed at least 1-2 wins each season.![]()

I've been working on trying to figure out a way to rate CFB Offenses and Defenses. I think I've finally found something tonight. Here's the Top 15s ... let me know what you think. It's going into this week, and it's basically opponent-adjusted-scoring offense/defense. So if a team is ranked highly in scoring defense (Michigan State, UCF), they're going to be ranked highly here.
Top 15 Scoring Offenses
Oklahoma St.
Oregon
Oklahoma
Baylor
Wisconsin
Stanford
Houston
West Virginia
Texas Tech
Georgia Tech
Boise St.
Texas A&M
Utah St.
Cincinnati
Alabama
Top 15 Scoring Defenses

Michigan St.
Penn St.
UCF
Wisconsin
Stanford
Temple
LSU
Michigan
Boise St.
Rutgers
Oklahoma
Kansas St.
Virginia Tech
Cincinnati
One piece I'm missing right now, and still trying to think about, is that my current system treats all shutouts equally. Obviously there's a difference between being shutout by Ohio State and shutout by Michigan, and, likewise, shutting out their respective offenses. I think I've got it figured out for any situation where a point is scored ... but not a shutout.
EDIT: Right after posting that, I figured a simple way to look at shutouts. Just add a point to everything. Duh. The only thing it changed is LSU is now the #7 defense (which is still too low for them).

Charlie Strong says the release of the Call of Duty video game distracted the team from its Pitt preparation
Some rumors coming out of Ohio State. Urban Meyer to take over as HC of the Buckeyes, 7 years, $35 million. Could be announced as soon as a week from Monday. Meyer takes over as HC.....Fickell will be the defensive coordinator with Vrabel as a defensive position coach. Heacock is going to retire and stay on as an adviser. Meyer will clean house as far as the offensive staff is concerned.
Absolutely no idea what truth or fact there is to any of that, but that is what I've been piecing together throughout the night.
i dont think it'll happen. i'm liking what fickell is doing with that program right now.![]()
Urban stating there has been no talks and no signing of a contract during his broadcast but who knows![]()
Well, it's pretty obvious that Urban is and was going to deny it. Besides the fact that Ohio State's season is still going on, and he's still sitting in studio and doing games for ESPN, of course he would never admit it until it was officially announced by the university.
drinking is not making this game go any faster
Sorry if this was already posted since I was gone this past weekend, I finally got to see this
rick neuheisal said this today, when asked about this week's opponent
(for anyone who doesnt know, if ucla beats SC, ucla wins the Pac12 South)
"We've got a chance to win the championship. We've closed the gap."
rich rod to be arizona's new head coach?
interesting....
Well, that has to give Buckeyes fans some hope. He didn't say that he would refuse it without thinking about if officially offered the job.If Ohio State offers Urban Meyer its coaching job, "I'll have a decision to make," the ex-Florida coach said, according to The Gainesville Sun.
There is no offer at present, Meyer, currently a college football analyst at ESPN, told the newspaper.
"I'm in a good place right now mentally and physically. So if something happens with Ohio State, I'll have a decision to make. But there has been no interview. There has been no offer to make a decision about," he said, according to the report.
Oh bullshit. UCLA is in a position because they played a bunch of weak-ass teams. They beat 3-8 Oregon State, 4-7 Washington State, 6-5 Cal, got lucky with a 1 point win over 6-5 Arizona State, and beat 2-10 Colorado.
Meanwhile they got their asses absolutely bitchslapped by Stanford (10-1), Arizona (3-8) and Utah (7-4).
Closed the gap my ass. It's just called they played the fucking Pillsbury Dough Boy of conference schedules.
thats what makes it so hilarious. neuheisal actually believes that he's closed the gap between ucla and.
remember his full page ad in the LA Times? rofl
