It's either a 10+ yard gain or a 3 yard loss. The SG offset formations are better but the lack of anything else sustainable in those formations means you can't run an entire offense out of them so the defense starts to key on the dive/read. Just like you I've been able to get yards with Ash when he keeps the ball, but there is zero consistency when my HB's are carrying the rock - ask Escobar, he may have some ideas as he's been playing around with this offense for awhile now.
Yeah, I've known that about the SG run game so this season I've added a fair amount of under center stuff and even that doesn't get me anywhere. Toussaint had 32 carries for 79 yards against Michigan State and most of that was from under center formations, single back formations.
