Polygon's Owen Good recently visited with NBA LIVE Executive Producer Sean O'Brien to discuss NBA LIVE 15 and the future of the franchise.

Given the rocky history of the franchise over the last four years - some could realistically argue nine or ten - there has been plenty of rumors, rumblings, and speculation that NBA LIVE 15 could be the last edition of the franchise. However, O'Brien was quick to squelch that speculation and state without reservation that the franchise is only ramping up.

"So, you're guaranteeing there will be an NBA Live 16," I say. "Guaranteed," O'Brien says. "We've already started development on 16. We're staffing up. We're actually increasing investment on what 16 — and 17 — look like."

EA SPORTS has shared a blog and video detailing some of the defensive improvements coming to NBA LIVE 15.

The blog details coaching and player specific defensive settings, which were also found in NBA LIVE 14. The video shows improvements to on-ball defense, rebounding and blocks, and defensive A.I. with comparisons to LIVE 14.

The latest FIFA 15 title update is now available on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The PS4 version of FIFA 15 has suffered from some stuttering issues for a percentage of users. While this patch attempts to rectify this issue, EA asks users to contact them via Twitter if the issue persists.

EA SPORTS has released the full track listing for NBA LIVE 15. As was the case with LIVE 14, the game soundtrack will be curated by MICK.

According to MICK, here is how he selected the songs for the game: "I prefer new and upcoming dope stuff. Artists either next to blow, currently about to blow, or maybe someone who I think should have blown in the past that I want to give a "veteran lift" to."

EA SPORTS has disclosed the full feature set and details for NBA LIVE 15 ahead of its October 28 release. (Full details on Live Ultimate Team and improvements will be discussed at a later date.)

While the game features many of the same basic modes as NBA LIVE 14, Rising Star (the single-player career mode) has perhaps received the most amount of improvements. The mode has now been rebranded as JORDAN Rising Star where the user will first prove their worth in the Take Flight Showcase Game before being drafted. Users can start as reserves with limited playing time where they earn more minutes with strong performances on the court. Rising Star in LIVE 14 featured 22 gradable on-court actions, while LIVE 15 now includes 85+. For the full list of Rising Star improvements, check out this PDF from EA SPORTS.

Among the other improvements include new Big Moments challenge types, an onboarding system featuring cover athlete Damian Lillard, new simulation options, improved Dynasty AI & logic, and more. The second Madden NFL 15 title update is now available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

The update includes improvements and fixes to Madden 15 gameplay, presentation, Connected Franchise Mode, Madden Ultimate Team and more.

The PS4 & Xbox One versions of EA SPORTS NHL 15 now have a new game update available (1.03) that provides numerous fixes. The update helps improve Hockey Ultimate Team, gameplay, and presentation.

EA SPORTS has posted a blog and video briefly detailing the offensive improvements coming to NBA LIVE 15.

This year, the fast break is more effective with the ability to pass ahead to teammates on the go and they will now fill the proper lanes in transition. The pick and roll system takes a page from NBA LIVE 10 and will provide visual feedback to show if the screener will slip, roll, or pop after the pick. The playcalling system has now been streamlined to the directional pad, allowing users a quicker way to get the offense started and in motion.

A major complaint from NBA LIVE 14, the shot feedback system has been refined to show Shot Timing and Shot Quality. The player indicator will show if the player is in his range and quality (open, somewhat guarded, closely guarded) and the Shot Timing text will indicate if the release was at early, perfect, or late.

2K Sports has released a new trailer discussing MyPARK in NBA 2K15. The streetball mode now features several improvements including gamers 'representing' a community. Depending on which fictional community they select, different ratings/attributes will receive a boost.

A new 'squads' feature will allow users to play as a team for their entire session. A new Jordan Rec Center locale features "sim" play with 5 on 5 action, referees, and NBA rules. The end of the video teased "The Stage,"a mode that allows users to 'put it all on the line' - implying in commentary and video an area where teams/users can put virtual currency on the line.
