According to lawyers for the plaintiffs in the player likeness lawsuit versus the NCAA, Electronic Arts, and the CLC, settlement payments as part of the $60M settlement are beginning to go out this week.

Pre-tax amounts ranging from less than $100 to nearly $9,300 will go to eligible players per terms of the settlement with the NCAA granting eligibility waivers to any current player receiving money. In all, 24,900 checks will be issued with the average payment around $1,750.

Among the current collegiate players set to receive payment are Maryland DB Jarrett Ross, Central Florida QB Nick Patti and Oklahoma State WR Marcell Ateman. Some of the NFL players receiving checks will be Kirk Cousins, A.J. Green, and Clay Matthews.

It's no surprise as Steph Curry continues to be the top-rated player in the game. The likely MVP sits at 97 OVR with 99 Three Point shooting, 98 Dribbling, 91 Steal, and 98 Contested Shot. Rounding out the top five overall are Kawhi Leonard (95), DeMarcus Cousins (94), LeBron James (93), and Russell Westbrook (93).

The update also includes the relatively recent free agent additions of Greg Smith and Ray McCollum as well as some accessory updates.

Following social media posts from an upset Khabib Nurmagomedov, the post-fight victory celebrations have been addressed in EA SPORTS UFC 2 game update 1.04.

The Muslim Nurmagomedov posted an instagram video of his video game self performing the Sign of the Cross following a victory. EA SPORTS informed him that the animation would change in the next update, which is the newly available 1.04. ...

The first content update for EA SPORTS UFC 2 adds three new fighters: Sage Northcutt, Jessica Aguilar, and as a hidden fighter, commentator Joe Rogan.

Fighting out of the Welterweight division, Northcutt currently has a career record of 7-1. In the Women's Strawweight Division, Aguilar is 19-5. Rogan can be unlocked by entering the Konami game upon starting the game.

This week's MLB The Show 16 livestream focused on the two new ways to play Diamond Dynasty: Battle Royale and Conquest.


Battle Royale is a double-elimination online event that users must buy into via tickets earned in-game. The better the user performs, the better the exclusive rewards they can earn. Users will hand-pick their roster through a 25-round draft, similar to that in Madden NFL's Draft Champions mode.

Conquest is a single-player mode where users will attempt to earn 'fans' to help them conquer North America by capturing and defending territories against all MLB teams. Games in this mode are only three innings with the user's Diamond Dynasty squad (no draft).

A new roster and data update are now available in NBA LIVE 16.

The top players in the game are Steph Curry (97 OVR), Kawhi Leonard (95), DeMarcus Cousins (94), and James Harden (93). There is a four way tie for fifth (92 OVR).

This update adds in mid-season coaching changes for the Knicks (Kurt Rambis), Nets (Tony Brown), and Suns (Earl Watson).

EA SPORTS has released the soundtrack listing for EA SPORTS UFC 2. The soundtrack consists of 26 songs from various artists as well as original music from Tommee Profitt.

The game also includes 10 licensed songs as part of fighter walkouts, such as DMX's "Ain't No Sunshine" and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Can't Stop."
