E3 2019 and accompanying developer conferences are upon us. Once a three-day event, studios have spaced announcements over a week+ span to get what they believe is a proper share of the limelight and avoid being lost in the shuffle. However, one could argue that due to the sheer volume of announcements, game information could still get overlooked despite attempts to stand out.

To help keep you up-to-date with all the happenings at and surrounding E3, TGT has put together a guide to all of the press conferences by companies and studios such as EA, Xbox, Nintendo, and others.

Per an apparent leak via Twitter user @mikescriburner, it appears Dwyane Wade will be the cover athlete for the NBA 2K20 Legend Edition, coming September 6.

Based on previous release cycles, this would also indicate that the standard edition will be available on September 10. Historically, NBA 2K has released game info, if not a trailer, frequently during the NBA Finals, so cover athlete confirmation and perhaps first game news may be coming in the next week or two.

Once confirmed, this would be the second time Wade has graced the cover of a video game as he was the cover athlete for NBA LIVE 06. ...

Nearly five years after launching, EA Access will be coming to the PlayStation 4 this July. The service allows users to play up to ten hours of most newly launched EA titles, play from a growing library of EA games in The Vault, and discounts on most EA-related digital purchases.

The service will cost $4.99 per month or $29.99 a year, the same as it does for Xbox One. Existing accounts/subscriptions on Xbox One will not carry over to PlayStation 4, so users will need a separate account per console.

EA Access launched on August 11, 2014 exclusively on. Xbox One. At the time, Sony balked at the potential of offering the service, claiming it did "not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect" in "asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer." ...

The first Madden NFL 20 dev stream provided a look at a new mode coming to the game, Face of the Franchise: QB1, as well as information on some of the improvements coming to Franchise Mode.

As part of tonight's Madden NFL 20 cover athlete reveal, EA SPORTS also announced the new mode 'Face of the Franchise: QB1' and the inclusion of the College Football Playoff and ten college football programs.

This new mode is being labeled as a career campaign centered around the user. Players will create a quarterback that they can then compete in the College Football Playoff en route to being drafted and entering the NFL.

The ten programs that users can select to place their created quarterback are Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, Southern Cal, Texas, and Texas Tech.

Following the cancellation of the NCAA Football franchise in 2013, Madden NFL 18's Longshot mode was the first to include any form of college football with users playing as Texas versus Oregon in Darrell K. Royal Stadium. With M20 adding the College Football Playoff and ten total programs, could EA SPORTS be planning an eventual return to college football gaming? At the very least, it would seem that the company has realized including college football in Madden - and making it one of their first major marketing announcements - is a selling point for the product. ...

Chiefs quarterback and 2018 NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes has been announced as the Madden NFL 20 cover athlete, available August 2.

The cover reveal also included the announcement of Face of the Franchise: QB1, a new career campaign mode. In it, users will create a quarterback that they can place on one of ten colleges to compete in the College Football Playoff, participate in the NFL Combine, and hope to leave their mark in the National Football League.


As part of their streaming schedule, on May 2 the M20 development team will share details on the new Face of the Franchise: QB1 mode and also on Franchise Mode improvements, including the new Scenario Engine.
