The average NCAA Football gamer spends several - if not many - seasons recruiting in Dynasty Mode as they work to build up their program to a championship level or strive to keep an already powerful program at the top.

In recruiting, one of the keys to success is matching your top Team Pitches to the categories of importance for each recruit. However, what causes these Team Pitches to go up and down each season in Dynasty Mode? NCAA Football designer Ben Haumiller has been kind enough to share with the community the exact factors that can help you increase your Team Pitches during the course of your Dynasty.

After reading the list, share your thoughts with the community. Tomorrow we will feature the logic the team uses when deciding the Team Pitches out of the box. Click Read More to see Ben's info. ...

NCAA Football designer Russ Kiniry has posted a new blog discussing changes to online ranked games, issues accessing online dynasties, and an upcoming patch.

    From Russ:
NCAA Football 11 fans have provided a ton of feedback this year, and since the release, we've been working hard here at Tiburon to address your top concerns. Near the top of the list of feedback we've gathered is how wins and losses are tracked in Ranked games that end in the first half.

Our objective has always been to make our leader boards free of cheaters. It was with this objective in mind that we previously changed the system so it does not award wins or losses if someone quits before the first half is over. However, as of the server maintenance this morning, we've changed how wins and losses are tracked once again. Now, wins and losses are counted regardless of when you (or your opponent) quit the game. If you jump out to an early lead and your opponent quits, you will still receive credit for the victory.

In an interview with Steven Bartlett of Operation Sports, Madden NFL creative director Ian Cummings discussed the future goals of the franchise and also detailed locomotion, a feature common to the central gameplay of both Madden NFL 11 and NCAA Football 11.

Cummings talked about locomotion in the game and how there was discussion of adding triggers and bumpers to the mix (along with the right stick), but those ideas were put on hold for a year or two to allow gamers to 'train' themselves for the moves on the right stick and no speed burst on the right trigger. He also shares some tips on the auto-speed burst - always try to run straight ahead to reach top speed quickly.

Would you like to see the bumpers and triggers included with Locomotion? If so, what moves would you like to see them control? ...

After drop-offs in early sales from 2009 to 2010 by the Tiger Woods PGA Tour and UFC Undisputed franchises, NCAA Football 11 did not suffer the same fate in its opening week. On the PlayStation 3 and X-Box 360, sales for NCAA Football 11 increased by just over three percent compared to NCAA Football 10.

On the same consoles, sales for UFC Undisputed 2010 dropped 30% in week one while Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 fell a little over 3%. (TW 11 for the Wii decreased a staggering 83% in its first week.) In their first month on the market, UFC Undisputed 2010 dropped 59% compared to last year and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 fell 68% (all consoles).

The PlayStation 2 version of NCAA Football has been nothing short of a roster update and redesigned menus for several years and saw sales drop from 34,823 to 12,286. Produced because there has been a market for it plus low development cost for the studio, this low number may finally signal the end of development for the franchise on the PS2 - the same console where the franchise rose to prominence. ...
