The Gaming Tailgate has put together a guide detailing to use the new Stunts feature in College Football 26. Stunts are typically a move that sees two defenders (usually on the defensive line) exchange their roles in gap responsibilities. The goal is to confuse offensive linemen on their pass protection or even run game assignments. Stunts (also known as twists) are used more often on obvious pass situations as slow developing stunts can leave wide open areas on the field for a running back, especially if the wrong gap is left open.

The College Football 26 development team has posted an update on some issues they are aware of and tracking.

A future Title Update will correct a rare issue where some players encounter being unable to kick a field goal. They have confirmed this rare issue only happens if your kicker is left-footed and if the kick was going to be blocked.

For users who have run into a big where they are unable to snap the ball, EA is reporting seeing a successful workaround with repeatedly pressing B/Circle several times or attempting another Pass Protection adjustment with LB/L1. This will be corrected in a future Title Update.

Finally, for users running into overpowered stuff arms, EA recommends flicking the right stick down to counter with a “Cut Stick” which takes out the ball carrier's legs. They are continuing to track data on stiff arm effectiveness.

The blog also includes a refresher on in-game pass protection settings for users seeing excessive pressure & sacks. ...

The EA SPORTS College Football 26 soundtrack is now available on Spotify.

The soundtrack consists of the 16 marching band covers users can listen to in the main menu of the game. The Auburn Marching Band cover of the College Football theme and the 49 new rousers added to the title were not included as part of this soundtrack.

As part of the marketing for EA SPORTS College Football 26, one of the key announcements this year was the inclusion of 2,800+ new plays and 45+ new formations. Leading up to launch, CFB.fan has an early look at the entire range of playbooks on their site.

With so many new plays and formations included, TGT wanted to do some deeper analysis to help you find which playbooks you'll want to try out on launch day and beyond.

For example:

• Kansas' playbook has the most new plays at 194
• Iowa's playbook has the most Singleback plays at 254
• Penn State's playbook has the most "Escort" plays at 12
• 35% of the 3-3-5 Tite Defensive Playbook are all new plays

The trophy/achievement list is now available for EA SPORTS College Football 26.

Consisting of just 16 trophies (including the platinum), the list contains some notable items for the user to complete including:

Downloading and playing a game with a created school, complete 10 Challenges in Ultimate Team, advance to Freshman (Tier) in Road to the College Football Playoff, and also defeat an opponent with higher Tier in that same mode.

Unfortunately, the list is very uninspired - it is the exact same as from CFB 25, with only name changes and selecting a hat in Road to Glory supplanting starting your Ultimate Team journey as a goal. The typo within the description for 'Instant Classic' ('Unbelievable Finish' in 25) remains.

During Monday's CFB26 Gameplay First Look video, Electronic Arts announced on X that they are returning to the college basketball gaming scene.

Extra Points with Matt Brown learned that the current plan is for the game to return in 2028 and feature both men's and women's programs.
