It wasn't coincidence, dude. Ole Miss made more plays than Alabama and won. That's how competition works. It didn't just happen. Geezus! Have you ever participated in any athletic competition in your life?

Yep, the Rams battled the SB runner up and won last week but,all the sudden can't find their shoes or tie them against washington? What a load of malarkey lol
And the Pats have 2 offensive linemen with no experience but can still score points again st the Bills angry, hungry, well coached defense lol

How are you supposed to believe the Bucs were 9 point favorites with a QB who can't read the side of a cereal box in the first place?
Oops lol, I read that spread wrong. But of of course your childish minds will need to knit pick about it as though it proves something in your favor.....

So, what do you guys think this upcoming winter is going to be like? Steeler, you're probably largely in good shape down in Houston, other than the occasional cold snaps and maybe some ice. I'm hoping we don't get a repeat of last year with entire weeks spent at subzero temperatures on top of two feet of snow.

Yes,of course it's totally believable that the Bills score 19 unanswered points in the 4th qtr and are there for a possible last minute win.
Just like the Giants were in a last minute opportunity for the second week in a row.

I can agree completely with you there! I don't do heat. Anything above 80 is warm for me. 85+ and I'm sweating regardless of humidity. So I definitely prefer fall, winter and spring over summer.
But on the flip side, entire weeks of subzero temps is ridiculous. Waking up in the morning with lows near -30, days with the highs not even getting above 0. We went something like 3 or 4 days in a row last winter of 0 or below, day and night, never saw a positive temperature. They may have that crap nonstop up in Canada and the arctic, but NW Ohio ain't Canada or the bloody arctic! Give me our usual 10-40 degrees in the winter and I'll be happy.

Notice Sherman blatant disregard of common sense just blatantly helping the Packers get down field at the end of first half. It doesn't matter if the Packers score or not. They are purposely setting up the potential drama near the end zone.

Too many penalties can control a game.
https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/3lqksu/i_cant_be_the_only_one_who_noticed_the_sheer/
A reddit comment:
Wow! And you can just*feel*how it affects the game. Nobody wants to watch every 2nd and 7 turn into a 2nd and 17 followed by a couple of conservative play calls and a punt over and over again. It's like the boring administrative part that is a necessary evil to keep the game functioning, but when it takes over every drive, it's just not enjoyable at all.

The entire hold out was contrived. He missed 2 games because they told him to. For that matter the drama might not be over. Wow, when called out, Ram turns to the age old favorite defense of first graders everywhere, "I know you are but what am I?" :D
Guess what buttercup, I don't have to prove anything. It's YOU who is making the claim. It's your responsibility to back that claim up with undeniable facts. You have no facts, so therefore your claim that " he was told to sit out two games" is henceforth judged and declared to be bullshit!
And I love your argument. I "assume many things with no first hand proof or knowledge of anything". I "have absolutely no proof he did this on his own for his own reasons".
That's funny! Neither do you! You have ZERO first hand proof or knowledge of anything. You have absolutely ZERO proof that he supposedly did this because the team told him to. But that certainly doesn't stop you from claiming it. Just like everything else. No proof whatsoever, but you'll happily claim it and act like it's fact nonetheless.
Until you present FACTS that prove the team told him to sit out the first two weeks, your claim is nothing but the ramblings of a brain damaged moron who still lives in Mother's basement.

WEEK 2
Penalties. You gotta love them. Doled out against the guilty offenders by the highly trained observers known as the NFL officiating crew.*
Week 2 was perhaps one of the most penalized in recent memory. Every game - and I watched a few thanks to a solid Sunday hangover - seem deluged by yellow flags, bogging down play. Though I no longer track penalties as I once did for this site, someone else took up the banner and does so atNFLpenalties.com.* Week 2 saw*298 penalties*- 18.6 per game - hand out nearly*2,700 free yards*to teams. Think any of this yardage in a "game of inches" could be altering outcomes?
Referees are taking control. And the guy overseeing them - VP of Officiating*Dean Blandino*- is a former stand up comic (no lie; I write about this in further detail in*A Season in the Abyss). Blandino was able to accurately predict the level of penalties called in 2014 prior to the season. Think he, Goodell, and the rest aren't massaging all of this? Nothing seems to happen in the NFL by accident.
And yet it is perhaps the non-calls that*really*affect games.*
Case in point, the Sunday night*Seahawks*v.*Packers*game. Now I have no idea why the Seahawks would trade for*Jimmy Graham*and then decide to completely ignore him in their offensive scheme, but the Packers were a clear beneficiary of both the Seahawks' coaching decisions as well as the referees' generosity. I swear during this game I witnessed head refereeGene Steratore*(who called*Dez Bryant's catch in the DAL-GB playoff game a non-catch) repeatedly smirk while announcing certain on-the-field decisions (like the disputed*interception turned fumble that Seattle recovered*but Steratore rebutted). Just prior to halftime, a Seahawks "false start" (which wasn't) allowed*Aaron Rodgers*to throw a ball 50-yards downfield which*Richard Sherman*defended by committing blatant pass interference. Of course, had the false start not have been called (the defender never crossed into the neutral zone to be offsides) none of the following play would have occurred. The extra 50+ yards led to a Packers' field goal.*
But what was worse was the blantant holding the Packers' O-line was committing without a single flag thrown. Why would this be allowed? Because (a) the Packers were at home (and yes,*"home cookin'"*is a real, tangible thing) and (b) Rodgers is one of the few star QBs the league can hang its hat on. By giving him more leeway on the field in the same way NBA refs give*LeBron James*the constant benefit of the doubt, Rodgers can be the star they want/need him to be. I'm not about to do the research, but I'd love someone to find when the last time a Rodgers' completion was called back due to offensive holding. I'd bet the answer would date back*years
Elsewhere, this happened. Let me tell you, unless*Tony Romo's backup*Brandon Weeden*can't hold it together to go .500 while Romo oft-broken collarbone heels, the Cowboys will still be in the playoffs. Who else is going to take that division? The Giants? The Redskins? I doubt the Eagles will put Chip Kelly's "genius" offense together, especially when the other team knows their plays are coming.
In a Spygate-esque turn to the*Cowboys*v.*Eagles*game, it seems the WEEK 2

As usual when something like this comes to light (remember Week 1? It wasn't too long ago...), the person(s) involved back off such a statement. Same happened here as Bowen later wrote*this*in which Eagles center*Jason Kelce*claimed WR Huff's contention was "not anything new." Right. Teams always know what plays their opponents are going to run prior to the snap of the ball. It's what makes the NFL so exciting.
More certainly to come....

For someone who "tracks" penalties you would think he would know that the defense can't commit a false start. I'm assuming he meant an "offsides"
So if I'm reading this correctly, he's claiming that everyone on the field knew that the flag was coming so they called a long pass play so their could be a pass interference call and set up a field goal :eyeroll: That is basically the only explanation.

Now Ram I need you to stop and think about this. Stop imagining the foot of that young boy in the old car I posted and really concentrate. Concentrate as hard as when you are sitting in your van stalking your next victim.
If the NFL is scripted, why on earth are the Cowboys calling out the Eagles plays? A legal way to keep us morons guessing at what is real or not? The logic is so backwards that I had to make sure I had taken all my meds. Holy crap on a cracker, it's like watching the next Jerry Brudos (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Brudos). Pray for all those unwitting Oregonians that do not know what lies ahead.

I found another random quote on another site.
I met ram29jackson once in Pasadena. At first, he seemed ok. But then he wanted me to take his picture while he was urinating in the restroom of this restaurant we went into so he could stalk some guy named Ben who worked on that college football game. After Ben called the manager over and had us thrown out, ram started focusing on my son and asking if he could smell his socks and underwear.
EDIT: You can't prove this didn't happen but I can prove a couple of different parts of the story.

It was a conspiracy to get people to watch the Cincinnati at Memphis game that saw 1200+ yards of total offense and came down to the final minute.
NFL & NCAA script these things together so that it's not always obvious.

So out of the blue..Lynch is questionable for what was supposed to be an assumed boring ass slaughter. Now,all the sudden there's confusion and,a reason to check in.
This doesn't mean I assume Bears will win lol but I already picked them to cover before this happened.
You want to deny the perfect dramatic timing of all this? The nfl knows how to keep your attention.
Seahawks with 2 losses...Lynch doesnt play, it hurts the team. Lynch plays and gets injured it hurts the team. Maybe Kam C. Has no chemistry with team?
Sports is so dumb. If the Seahawks lose everyone shouts "anything can happen!" If they win it's of course because Bears were too weak.
No logical reasons, just cliches to cling to.
It's the nfl that keeps changing the narrative, not me.
Bears using a different qb and Jeffries may be out. Seattle with gimpy RB and a confused DB. A lot if pieces are being shuffled here lol. All the money is on Seahawks to win. Would you really try to pull this with the Pats v Jags game? I doubt it but if they did you'd buy that anyway because of the unproven unscientific cry that anything can happen.
Pats better not lose lol I've got one strike in a 3 strike survivor pool and everyone choked on the Ravens - raiders game last week...another unlikely bullshit ending.
I may bite the bullet and pick Chicago for the Flying heck of it ! What the heck,it's one game.....

Tuohy has already written a couple books.
The nfl/espn won't promote his book and don't/cant sue him because he's got proof of fbI files of thrown games etc.

Bring me a book of an actual former NFL (or college, since they're all apparently fixed too) player or coach who "tells all" about all these supposed shenanigans, and then I'll read it. I'm not wasting my time or money on this same retard you keep going and copy/pasting shit from his site.

@smooth pay attention.
I have never once denied getting a so called pick wrong and there is no two sides of a fence I'm straddling.
When a pick goes the other way of what it should be I then analyze why.
I'm making picks based on where I think think they are leading the public and what objective they have for teams and games.im not worried about being right or wrong in the same sense that you are because you think the games are naturally played out.
I am not saying chicago will win this game but the nfl made damn sure there's some drama leading up to what looked like a top 3 blowout of the week. They are giving doubt to the Seattle fans and hope to the Bears fans to generate interest/drama.
Either way you'll make up some pseudo football logic excuse as to how the game played out while I will understand it was manipulated.

A QB can not make an nfl team unless he can make a majority of the throws required. There's no way in hell Clausen would even be on a team. He throws in practice all the time and a week is plenty of time since it's the only thing he does in the first place.
But in the game you are supposed to believe he's no better then one of you at getting the ball down field lol ?
It's childish logic. He acts inept because he's told to. The nfl is supposed to be really hard to get into and 100s of QBS fight to get in but that's the best they can do? That's pure bullcrap.

And I find I fascinating. It's one thing to claim NFL players are in on the "script", but I absolutely love that you claim these college football games are scripted. You know, I gotta hand it to these players. Being willing to wear casts, and lay in hospital beds for days/weeks while they miss classes, all without receiving any money, simply to act and pretend to be injured all for the greater good of the magical script.
Hell, I think the cake and award goes to Jason Pierre-Paul. How far he went to fake his hand injury, going so far as to have some of his fingers amputated to give the appearance that he lost them in a fireworks accident. Now THAT is dedication to the script! Give that man a fucking medal!

A normal bell curve (something used in mathematics and statistics, you know, factual things) would show you that some games will be blowouts and some will be close.
A. Bell curve can't define or detect anything being manipulated.
Turn in your college degree because you have no idea what you are talking about or is being discussed thinking anything in your life compares to needing to come ahead in an outcome with only seconds left and it happening every frickin week.

ROFLMAO!
Yes. You're absolutely right. The outcome of a game I don't watch outside of one team is a bigger deal to me than my life itself (and I'm currently watching Fear the Walking Dead so I'm not even watching said team as I type this). You're easily the biggest idiot I've ever met and I work in education. And turn in my degrees? Child please. Those degrees have given me more in life than any NFL outcome. I've done more with my life since I've gotten those degrees than I ever thought possible. And the fact that I'm arguing with an idiot with no concept of reality is far beneath me. Keep believing your fantasy. I don't care. But you're flat out 100% wrong and the more you push your agenda, the bigger of an idiot you look.

The Jets, Panthers Bengals, Falcons and Giants all won easily and by double digits!?
How unlucky can the nfl be with all that tv boringness. Of course you completely ignore 5 entire games to try and keep pushing your dumbass theory.
In the world of Ram, 4 close games out of 9, "wowzers, what TV entertainment, how lucky for the NFL!???!!??!!??!;(!!!(!%-$+#8--$"

Let's see.....
I picked the Rams and Redskins to win while no one else did.
Of course Steeler tries to excuse it as just being contradictory or arbitrary lol.
So what's your excuse for Smooth who does it quite often himself compared to others?
The fact is I look at odds extensively and where the majority leans on the money line etc. Plus multiple other factors.
Lol I was wrong on Jax and Browns but barely at end of both games.
Lol at Steeler saying I don't know anything about lines and odds in the past here. If I didn't I wouldn't have made as many right picks.
I think smooth has somewhat the same mind set as me in his subconscious but doesn't acknowledge it yet.
When I thought football was legit I still looked at lines as something someone is trying to deceive and lead you with in the wrong direction. Well, how can they lead you in a wrong direction unless they already know the outcome?
Knowing something is wrong doesn't mean you'll know the correct answer. That's the whole point of deception.

 I love how he says he doesn't try to claim both sides, but he does it repeatedly, just like your example. If he's right, it's proof to support his claims. If he's not right, it doesn't discount anything he claims, he's still "right".
It's easy to claim random bullshit when you never have to provide actual proof, which to this day still has never been shown, and you can just sit there repeatedly claiming both sides of the road and claiming to be right regardless of the outcomes.

Yes smooth and Soulja, this play was actually planned and the receiver relaxed his hand. The refs were ready with what ever ambiguous interpretation of the rule they needed to make because the rule book allows for stupid decisions.

And then when the game is over they create pointless controversy with Dean Blandino saying it's the wrong call but who cares? Nothing will be done about it and everyone who bet Seattle to win and Detroit to cover is happy !

Right. We, the people who need #Drama don't give 2 shits about who wins or loses or whatever but someone scores a touchdown and he has an aneurysm. He must think every game must be a blowout and if it's close, the one and only explanation is because it's staged. 2 teams can't be relatively even.

Yep. Guess what, the teams trade possessions. Guess what, some of those teams will trade scores and have close games. 60 goddamn minutes. 80-100+ offensive plays. Guess what, teams will score points at various points and some games will be close.

This was just taken from Ray Lewis' Facebook page.
"At the end of the game, Coach Harbaugh did a wonderful thing. We'd just gotten the ball back on downs, time was running out. The game was in hand - we needed but one first down to run out the clock. He said, "Ray, you know the fans want to see you out there one last time."
I said, "What you mean?"
He said, "The city wants this."
He meant for me to take the field one final time, lined up in the backfield. It wasn't scripted. It wasn't planned or talked about - or, if it was, it wasn't planned or talked about by me.
So I ran out there and took my spot on the field and listened to those fans sing down to me a final time. It was like a curtain call ..." more in the memoir I Feel Like Going On

And I certainly don't ever recall myself or any of my friends going "Oh holy shit!!!! It's a three point game between two teams none of us give a fuck about, oh my god, what's gonna happen next, I'm so excited!!!!"

I hope the NFL stops showing me Saints games. The only #Drama we have is who are we getting with our Top-5 pick. If we're smart a linemen. OL or DL. Doesn't matter. They both suck.

Can we have Max Unger back? Our o-line is clueless without him.

Come on guys, how many excuses are you going to make?
Steelers stole this one. Final seconds, officials could give a fine damn about the debatable knee.
1st half I told a guy "don't worry,Pitt will get a defensive play and some miracle play by Vick".
Lol they got 2 Vick plays.
Yeah sure, this is common expected stuff, right?
Grow up,the network is more interested in a Pitt win in primetime than a SD win.

Here's your problem. All you look at is the box score and see a close game and think it's great TV. Too bad that most of the casual fans were probably in bed because the game sucked up until the last half of the 4th quarter. If this shit was scripted to draw in the "masses" in primetime the entire game wouldn't have been a snoozefest.

All that matters in this dumb ass theory is that the game is close at the end and its on tv. The flow of the game doesn't matter and the outcome in a non-competitive game is ignored. Oh, and his correct picks matter because it gives him an outlet to brag about how he knew it was scripted. His theory has more holes than Swiss cheese.

This wouldn't happen unless they were showing something they didn't want them to. It's not like you can't find nfl stuff all over the internet. I've typed comments under certain highlights that were up for months or years how a play was staged and within hours it was taken down.
But you go on and keep believing games constantly have those dramatic story book endings on tv.

You are just babbling gibberish now. Noncompetative games don't mean games aren't staged and don't take away from the fact too many games end dramatically.
You don't think a billion dollar organization can write up games so a few blow outs make things look balanced?

Noncompetitive games don't mean games aren't fixed.
Close competitive games, especially on TV absolutely mean games are fixed.
Apparently 40-50% of games in a given week is mathematically impossible (so claims a half brain dead moron who clearly failed every math and statistics class in his life) and proof games are fixed.
If douchecanoe gets picks right, it's a sign of proof that he's onto the NFL fixing games.
If douchecanoe gets picks wrong, it means absolutely nothing.
If any of us get picks right, it means absolutely nothing.
If any of us get picks wrong, it's because we "refuse to open our minds" and accept the NFL is fixed.
Gee whiz, once again claiming both sides of the road in an attempt to claim that he is always right no matter what the result, and as usual, conveniently cherry picking every individual act, play, game or result that fits his birdbrained theory while completely ignoring every single other game that destroys said theory.

I'm not actually avoiding it at all. In no place did I post that it didn't end in dramatic finish. What I'm saying is that the rest of the game was boring and that a person who is watching that isn't a fan of either of those teams isn't going to stay up to watch a boring game and would have missed the dramatic ending. Thus, if the game was staged that way it is an epic fail by the league as the mass audience didn't see the ending.

The refs also had a 20+ second runoff on a touchback that nobody caught with just over two minutes to go. But aparrently the NFL is too busy cracking down on Twitter vines with nfl footage to care.
You seriously think a multi billion company is dumb enough to let that be a random accident on tv when they've been doing it since the 60s?
It was done on purpose simply so the fan would have more dumb crap to talk about. It's professional tv created drama.
It's fascinating that the common man thinks he's smarter than billlionaires. Each week they complain about refs so called mistakes.
If it's happening that often it's obviously on purpose. Why is that so hard to fathom?
