So you made 3 BOLD predictions for the season that you claim will PROVE the league is fixed.
1. Denver will win the AFC.
2. Seattle will not repeat.
3. Arizona will not win the NFC.
Let's look at them one at a time.
Denver has the best roster in the league. Almost everyone has pegged them to win the AFC West and most think they will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl and possibly win it. This is not a BOLD prediction. You are playing the same odds that everyone else is - that the best team will win.
Seattle not repeating is also not a BOLD prediction. No one has repeated in a decade with several defending champions missing the playoffs altogether. You say, on one hand, that what Buffalo did in the 90s is impossible and, on the other hand, you say that someone not repeating shows manipulation. YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS.
Arizona won't win the NFC? Really? To say that a team that has been to ONE Super Bowl in their history and who missed the Playoffs last season (Hell, was 2008 the last time they made the Playoffs?) won't make it is not a BOLD prediction. I actually hope they make it just to watch you change your story.
Bottom line, you have NOT made ANY BOLD predictions about the league.
Additionally, you said Johnny Football would come off the bench in Week 1 and salvage a win for Cleveland over Pittsburgh. Didn't happen. You said Bell and Blount would be suspended for that game and that would be the "excuse" for the Steelers losing. I told you that they would not be suspended until next year, in all likelihood. They weren't. You were flat wrong.
You pointed to an old article about the unavailability of the "All 22" camera angle as "proof" that the NFL is "hiding what happens off the screen" from us. I pointed out that that angle has been available on NFL.com for several years now. You hid from that and pretended you didn't read that you were called out as a complete moron on that one.
You also made the "bold" prediction that Manning would get the TD record in prime time. Oh, really? Do you realize that TV execs take that kind of stuff into consideration when they pick their games for prime time? That's why Denver had back-to-back prime time games. NBC was "betting" that he would do it last week, NFLN/CBS were "betting" he'd do it this week. It's not that tough to project what few weeks that a player may reach a milestone in and, if you're wrong you still get Denver vs San Francisco or Denver vs San Diego - two nice matchups for prime time.
Just watch if none of those "bold" predictions come true. He'll quickly backpedal and claim the opposite happening means the NFL is fixed or make up some other excuse to try and salvage his claims.
It's all he's ever done. Just changes his story and moves the finish line every time his predictions are wrong, then makes some claim about the change proving the NFL is fixed.
Like I said, he'd be laughed out of the scientific community or out of a court room the second he opened his mouth with these "claims" and "facts".

you say my predictions aren't bold and yet you keep saying anything can happen ..so which is it ?
the fact is I said this before any scenario played out. You said " gee whiz,I don't know, anything can happen "
the fact is all of my thoughts and predictions can go wrong and it doesn't mean games aren't staged or I don't know what I'm talking about. It just means I'm not getting their angle right. Its fascinating how simplistic your thinking is.
the fact is only half the country likes football. That means theres plenty in the other half who know exactly what I'm talking about. and quite frankly most of those people are the highly educated in the math, science and legal realm.
If I have no doubt in this you should take note. You are the common man with no grasp of reality and your interactions with me are that of immature children bullying someone on a playground. You are acting like fools.
you make excuses for bad calls and ignored replays and cant put the most basic 2 and 2 together to save your lives.
I didn't just say seattle wouldn't repeat, I said they were done-period. they wont repeat, they wont rebuild. They are a side note for another 30 years.
all these news stories about the players and the locker room are completely made up fiction. The Harvin deal was made by the league, not by the Seahawks.
all you know is you saw something typed in a article. An entertainment business can type any story it wants and there isn't a legal thing anyone can do about it.

plus you are trying to maybe include predictions from when I thought sports was a random outcome LOL.

No, that just means there are plenty of people that simply do not enjoy football. There are a select few "special cases" that know and/or agree with what you are talking about.

Exactly as I said, nothing more than moving the finish line every single time and still trying to claim "the NFL is fixed!!11!!1" If all of your thoughts and predictions go wrong, it also doesn't mean that the NFL is staged and very well could mean you in fact have no clue what you're talking about. But of course, excuse me, it simply means you're not getting their angle right, nothing more than some vague bullshit excuse to continue claiming the NFL is fixed when you likely have no fucking clue what you're talking about. I think with that sentence right there, that pretty much closes the book on this thread and this whole theory.
So because half of the country doesn't like football, that means they don't like it because "they know it's fixed"? It could be, oh, I don't know, maybe they just don't like football. I don't like women's basketball, I guess that means women's basketball is fixed too! I don't like cricket (mainly because I have no bloody clue what the hell is happening in that damn sport), so I guess that means cricket is fixed. I don't like Washington/politics, so I guess that means government is fixed (wait, bad example there :D :D :D).
So if Seattle doesn't become a side note for another 30 years, if they repeat this year, or win the Super Bowl again next year, what bullshit backpedaling excuse will you give then?

Also, I handle the accounting for my business which is now pushing $2M in assets. I am one of those people who can do fairly complex addition, subtraction etc. in my head faster than you can do it on a calculator.
I think my track record for spelling and grammar speaks for itself.
I'm no dumbass and certainly no "common man".
According to "ram math" half of the country dislikes football and knows it's fake and most of those people are scientists, mathematians or attorneys.
Don't tell him that that is mathematically impossible.

Ole Miss lost to LSU today. Fascinating. I wonder how Ole Miss losing (and quite likely being eliminated from the college football playoff) works into Archie Manning's grand master plan that has apparently been in the works for the last couple decades. You'd think Archie would scheme to have Ole Miss go undefeated the entire season, not their hated rival Mississippi State. But I guess none of us are supposed to know or understand why. After all, we're all just the "common man" with simplistic thinking.

the whole Packers-Saints game was bull too LOL
all logic said they should have been favored and leading outright. But the drooling masses believe the pseudo logic that 'anything can happen' and buy that ridiculous outcome.
I'm the only one in all my pools that picked Washington to both cover and win because I saw it coming.
I know the Cardinals will start falling but I thought it would be sooner against eagles. The Eagles and Dallas lost. This was all to give the Giants the open door to move up as they beat the Colts. Dallas will beat the Cardinals.
Denver could lose to the Pats and it wouldnt matter as the Broncos could win all their remaining games. But, I think its Mannings turn this year to squash all the made up inferior clichés that the stupid sports fan believes.
Watch out for Buffalo because the NFL likes to reward new owners.
anything can happen and anything is possible ? so when does it become unrealistic ? how many coincidences need to happen before its too many ?

I guess someone forgot to tell the Giants that as they've lost two in a row. I'd maybe believe it about the Redskins seeing as they've won two in a row while the Eagles, Cowboys and Giants have all lost.
And watch out for Buffalo because, oh, I don't know, maybe they had a good draft and improved their roster enough to actually be a competent and competitive this year? Even an idiot could see that Buffalo will most likely finish ahead of both Miami and the New York Jets this season. But please, by all means, continue being brain dead.

So now if you're stuck on a team that sucks (especially if you had no say in the matter if you got drafted by them), you're no longer allowed to celebrate making a good play?
Or are only white players allowed to celebrate on crappy teams?No...no you are not. Especially when down by 25 and the game has already been decided

Don't worry about today. Whats going to happen to the NFC west is it will become a tie breaker/parity fantastic dream.
The Cards have only played one division game to this point. Its going to get really weird. LOL
enjoy the dramatic show.
as far as the Broncos. They just gave the fans of Seattle and New England some home field joy but the Broncos will continue to roll along with the typical "they learned from that game" theyre really motivated now" they needed that loss to wake up " bla bla bla cliché media bull etc.

of course they wont. Why would they ? their QB impresses and fascinates no one. They attract no real attention by the masses.
but you of course miss the entire point. You think me saying they wont and them making it would prove me wrong about manipulated games, which it of course doesn't. And so what if they did make it ? Very nice of Roger Goodell to write James Harrison back into the script and make sure he still has a job.
This is the same James Harrison who once said he wouldn't piss on Goodell if Roger was on fire. Extra nice to make James' role play such a big part in tonight's game.
Maybe Roger is turning over a new leaf, with all of the criticism he has gotten lately.

they are ranked 26th in both total offense and 13 in defense.
talk about manipulating wins LOL. But of course for the simple minded this falls under the anything can happen pseudo logic LOL.
What a load of bull.
on espn they are 26th now.
on NFL.com they are 23rd. Both are bad numbers for a 7-1 team
edit:
on espn both rankings were 30th and within the hour they did change. I'm sure as children you will somehow find that a reason to be insulting but it says to me there is plenty of manipulation to make the team look better then they are.

Once again you leave out information and only focus at a high level. Their pass defense sucks in terms of yardage but they lead the league in Ints and their run defense is one of the best in the league only giving up 79 yards/game. The other reason they are winning is they are 2nd best in the league in TO differential. Carson Palmer only has 2 ints on the year while as stated above they lead the league in Ints. But hey, they are worst in "total" defense.
Feel free to retort with the fact that winning the TO battle is pseudo logic and what we sheep are meant to believe wins games.

the Saints play the Niners next week actually. The Giants can lose 2 more games and still make the playoffs. There will be a lot of tie breakers going on. Remember, last year the Giants lost the first 6 and still won 7 of the next 10.
the NFC west and east will cancel each other out depending on who beats who in and out of the division. The math is going to make your head spin as the league gets its fascinating parity-gasm.
of course youll have to observe the next month for most of this to play out and take shape. Next week wont prove anything yet on the whole that you think I'm not getting right.

pay attention student, listen closely. This one game does not cancel out the total season prediction I have made, nor does it prove games aren't staged if I get this or anything wrong. These are logical remarks you obviously need to study and review if you are going to keep up with the class.
I hope they work out this way because it might make you ponder something a little more in depth. Either way,if you are open minded and smart enough, I have at least made your mind decide to rethink things when stuff in sports doesn't go the way you think it should have in various future situations.

The universe works on random events. The fact that I'm even responding to you is proof of this.
1) I watch some college football game as a kid and see that an injured player's major is sports medicine. I decide that Sports Med is what I want to study too.
2) No school in LA has a sports med program when it's time for me to pick a college so I decide to go to Southern Miss.
3) I meet my future roommate Theo freshman year and we become best friends.
4) We become roommates sophomore year and he has a Playstation and gets a copy of NCAA Football.
5) I become such a fan of the game (because I'm in college) that I go on the Internet (which is becoming a big deal) and find Utopia.
6) After years of being a lurker and sometimes poster, I follow the powers that be to this site.
7) Now I'm here talking to you.
The universe didn't stage this. Random shit happened and this is where we are today. And you know what happens in competition?

Giants will not make the playoffs. OL can't block for the run game, and a rookie is the most consistent WR now. And that's just the offensive side. Giants need a LOT of help to get in. In the end, only Philly will make it in the East if Dallas collapses. Two wild cards coming from the North and West.

try to help the drooling masses and their ignorance gets in their own way. Enjoy Denvers magical season Smooth. It wont be anything difficult to sweat
Denver going to/winning the Super Bowl x2
but alas , you as a Denver fan wont have to think as the magical unicorns and rainbows appear and grow while Denver just rolls over everyone to the final !
Denver going to/winning the Super Bowl x3
ACLs are easy to fake. No broken bone proof needed
ACL injuries are faked
that wont be necessary. Earlier this week a Cardinal defensive lineman went down and the media said he was "a very important player on the team and will be missed."
Bradford goes down. between now and week 8 something will happen to the Seahawks that gives SF a nice open door in the division and probably eliminates a wild card from that division. The Madden curse is always a nice excuse to start with.
Cardinals season will implode/won't make the playoffs
Seahawks season will implode/won't make the playoffs
San Francisco will win the NFC West
NFC West probably won't get a wild card team.
For a guy that thinks he knows betting and odds you aren't very bright. I was wrong about the KC game but I did pick NY and SF to win while most went the other way because they think they had logical football reasons why. I also picked the Cowboys to win their game. Never pick against the cowboys in a primetime game LOL.
the saints are going back to their same losing ways for another 40 years.
Never pick against the Cowboys in a primetime game.
The Saints will become losers for the next 40 years.
I told you the Cards weren't making the post season and they have 6 or 7 players dropping like flies now.
Cardinals aren't making the playoffs x2
I said the Arizona Cardinals would tank before the season started and behold= 6 or 7 guys are injured before they host a super bowl.
before the year started I said NY would have a great year and that is happening.
Cardinals aren't making the playoffs x3
NY Giants will have a great year
since when are playoffs after 6 games ? I said the Cards would sink and they will sink, even if its a pleasant 8-8 sink. So will Seattle.
Preseason injuries ? they are up to 6 or 7 now but of course I was aware when the ball started rolling down hill.
Last I checked, that's still in the process of happening.
Cardinals won't make the playoffs x4
Seahawks won't make the playoffs x2
Archie Manning is on the selection committee and the ncaa has a week 6 where all the top schools fall yet both Mississippi schools, Ol' Miss and Mississippi State are undefeated and ranked 1 and 3. These schools haven't been that relevant since the 60s or there abouts but now all the sudden they are relevant at the same time ?
but of course you think its all a fantastic coincidence.......?
the Kickoff classic game this year at the beginning of the college season had Ole Miss in it.....oh, what a surprise they are this year, huh ?
Archie Manning is manipulating the College Football Playoffs like Dick Chaney did with his arm up Bush's ass like a puppet for 8 years
https://www.google.com/#q=percy+harvin&tbs=qdr:h
LOLOLOLOLOL
another nail in the Seattle slide I predicted before the season began. What a dang coincidence huh ?
Seahawks won't make the playoffs x3
the media will use it and the general public will buy it. That's just the tip of the iceberg, plenty more will happen. You laugh and yet it came from no where. I told you stuff would lead to Seattle losing and you gotta start somewhere.
Marshawn Lynch went to Cal for crying out loud. Freaking CAL ? He had no business being there.
Percy Harvin, player that essentially had NO role in the Seattle offense, being traded away means Seattle won't make the playoffs x4
Black guys from the hood can't get into Cal on their own merits.
no, they won to help Seattle slide which already stated would happen long before this. I just figured they would wait till after this game. I did pick Seattle to win but I did pick the Rams to cover.
You people cant think for yourselves and buy any outcome no matter what happens.
Seahawks won't make the playoffs x5
524182710315921408
Miss. State is a lock now. Win it for Archie!
All those years of manipulating by Archie are for nothing.
the Russell Wilson story is completely fake. Its just a made up story to make think you have a reason as to why Seattle is starting to slide down.
Smooth- the Chargers could beat Denver twice this season and it wont matter. Denver is winning the division no matter what.
Seahawks won't make the playoffs x6
Broncos will win the AFC West "no matter what"
I didn't just say seattle wouldn't repeat, I said they were done-period. they wont repeat, they wont rebuild. They are a side note for another 30 years.
Seahawks won't repeat as Super Bowl champions
Seahawks will become losers for the next 30 years.
Giants are being set up for a move forward
Giants will have a great year x2
Picked against Cowboys in primetime after saying to never pick against the Cowboys in primetime.
Knows the Cardinals will start failing/not make the playoffs x5
The Giants will move up/have a great year x3
The Giants will beat the Colts
The Cowboys will beat the Cardinals
Broncos losing to the Patriots won't matter
Bills will make the playoffs because the NFL likes to reward new owners (never mind the fact that Cleveland and Jacksonville STILL suck)
Don't worry about today. Whats going to happen to the NFC west is it will become a tie breaker/parity fantastic dream.
The Cards have only played one division game to this point. Its going to get really weird. LOL
enjoy the dramatic show.
as far as the Broncos. They just gave the fans of Seattle and New England some home field joy but the Broncos will continue to roll along with the typical "they learned from that game" theyre really motivated now" they needed that loss to wake up " bla bla bla cliché media bull etc.
my mid season playoff predictions,in no particular order
Eagles
SF 49ers
Giants
Saints
Packers
Lions
Denver
Indi
Patriots
Baltimore
Buffalo
Cleveland
Buffalo could be replaced by Miami
The NFC West will NOW become a tie breaker/parity fantastic dream (apparently the 49ers will no longer run away with it)
The Cardinals will start sucking/miss the playoffs (because they have played only one division game so far) x6
Broncos lost to Seattle and Patriots to give their fans "home field joy" but will roll along the rest of the season
Eagles, 49ers, Giants, Saints, Packers and Lions will make the playoffs in the NFC
Broncos, Colts, Patriots, Ravens, Bills and Browns will make the playoffs in the AFC
Dolphins might make the playoffs instead of the Bills (I guess that will mean the Bills new owners weren't good enough owners or worthy enough to be awarded with a playoff berth by the NFL)
lets see...
tonight is a primetime game in New York and Strahan is being honored at halftime.
you really don't think its a good idea to send the fans and the Mara's home unhappy do you ?
I was a week ahead on my Eagles and cowboys losing predictions but that will be evident over the next 2 and 3 weeks as the Giants pull even.
Giants will beat the Colts because it's a primetime game in New York and Strahan was being honored at halftime
Giants will pull even with everyone else in the NFC East in the next 2 to 3 weeks and make the playoffs x4
And if memory serves me correctly you were bragging last week about the fact that you knew the Redskins would beat the Cowboys so how would you be a week ahead? Maybe because they lost this week and you forgot that they lost last week, but that wouldn't make any sense for someone who studies the NFL so much and knows all of the scripts
Bragged about picking the Redskins to beat the Cowboys, despite previously saying to NEVER pick against the Cowboys in a primetime game
Yes of course, as with my other predictions this week I am ahead of schedule with what will take place for the season.
your youthful immaturity and impatience thinks that because I am wrong tonight that I am wrong altogether. The Giants will make the playoffs. Remember the Patriots going 5-5 before their Super Bowl run ? the improbable will of course happen again.
Its fascinating that as old as you people are you still act like children incapable of having critical thought and open minded conversation about anything. Just a bunch of school yard insults and neener neener, nanny nanny remarks in the foulest most insulting language possible.
I will not be wrong gentlemen. I will not be wrong.
the league will have the NFC in a 8-8,9-7 cluster, all over the place and the Giants will be in the thick of it. Enjoy the Show !
The Giants will make the playoffs x5
The Patriots made the Super Bowl after starting 5-5, the improbable will happen again (Giants or Patriots going to the Super Bowl?)
The entire NFC will end in an 8-8/9-7 cluster of a slew of teams. Giants will make the playoffs at no better than 10-6 (so that they can be in the thick of that 8-8/9-7 cluster of teams)
the Saints play the Niners next week actually.
The NFC East and West will cancel each other out as all teams in each division continuously beat each other.

where have I been proven wrong anywhere ? you have no proof that games aren't staged to counter my many examples and the playoffs aren't next week so you have absolutely no clue what will happen to the Cardinals or Giants yet.
ultimately I should probably thank Smooth for being so obsessive. It means he is interested and does care and may actually learn something even if it takes a few years to sink in. Although I do realize it may crush him for believing something that isn't true.
then again he has acted like a child and isnt actually intellectually comprehending a single thing I've said because of severe cognitive dissonance. That little grin of his will be rather flat around Thanks Giving

you did it based on hope. I did it as example to prove a point. The Browns were 6 point underdogs and the world bet on them to lose or the majority did. I said earlier they should make the playoffs. 2 things strongly doubted by a majority who think they know football. So the NFL TRIed to mislead the betting world and at the same time entertain people who thought the same boring Bengals win was about to happen.
you are so fooled that you think Navy can score 39 against ND after ND almost beats a top 4 school ?

How is it surprising the Bengals lost. Literally ever major game in the last few years they have blew it. This loss is more about Marvin Lewis than it is Cleveland. Detroit finally figured this out and fired their coach last year. Not everything in life is a conspiracy Ram. Often it's common sense...
As to your comment that this Sunday might be upset Sunday... really? Every Sunday there is an upset, usually more. It's not conspiracy or marketing... it is just how sports work. LOL I of course mean today is an unrealistic blob of upsets after they get the world to bet the other way while in the process help a season long narrative that not you and Only I obviously see coming. I hate to break this to you but College degrees prove nothing about common sense and deductive reasoning and the ability to discern deception. It just means you did assignments and got grades for them.
If you are so smart, actually research what I told you to and watch defenders on every play instead of the ball. Watch how they are near but do nothing and fall down and take bad angles and slow down and don't apply pressure with their hands. Actually see how often a ref makes a call you disagree with and stop constantly blaming human mistake and error.
college degrees don't teach you wisdom and common sense.

I have an idea that this Sunday might be known as upset Sunday.
But hey, its upset week baby ! everyone join the party !
And the clueless prognosticator was wrong again!
Browns beat the Bengals (technically the better team), so 1/2 upset.
Seahawks (better team) beat the Giants, no upset.
Cardinals (better team) beat the Rams, no upset.
Broncos (better team) beat the Raiders, no upset.
Falcons (better team) beat the Buccaneers, no upset.
Jets beat the Steelers (better team), upset.
Ravens (better team) beat the Titans, no upset.
49ers (arguably better team) beat the Saints, no upset (either way no upset as the Saints and 49ers are pretty damn close to each other in terms of "better team").
Cowboys (better team) beat the Jaguars, no upset.
Lions (better team) beat the Dolphins, no upset.
Chiefs (arguably better team) beat the Bills, no upset.
Packers (better team) raped the Bears, no upset.
Out of 12 games between yesterday and Thursday, only one true upset happened (Jets over the Steelers) and one 1/2 upset as the Browns beat the Bengals (Browns are playing better this year while the Bengals suck this year, so not a true full upset).
Even if you were to try and claim 49ers over the Saints and Chiefs over the Bills as upsets, and say the Browns over the Bengals was a true full upset, then you'd have a grand total of 4 upsets out of 12 games. HARDLY "upset Sunday".
Better luck next time kiddo. Maybe mother can help you out next time.

not my thoughts but valid points nonetheless
And there's your Super Bowl curse in action. Think Drew Stanton is the next Tom Brady? He'll have to be if the Super Bowl-hosting Cardinals are going to go that far. Methinks that's a bit of a stretch.
Another stretch of the imagination came in the form of the woeful NY Jets (led by convicted felon Michael Vick) beating the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is the exact sort of game that should make ever NFL fan stop and think, "How is this possible?" Does "parity" really allow for such a result? Not in the real world. This is the sort of outcome that fills my inbox with questions of "How close does the NFL work with Las Vegas and the bookies?" It's also why taking a contrarian stance betting-wise is more profitable than following the "squares."
Speaking of the NFL, did you know that it's on a pace to break the record for the most 10+ point comebacks in a single season? Does that hurt TV ratings? Of course not, as the NFL trumpets under its headline "NFL Games 26 of 30 most-watched shows this fall": "At the halfway point of the 2014 NFL season, fans are tuning into NFL games in record numbers for good reason…they have been captivated by the fantastic contests and come-from-behind victories. Three teams have overcome deficits of 21 or more points to win games, on pace to break the single-season record. The record for the most such wins in one season is four, which has happened three times (1999, 2011 and 2013)."
Unfortunately, not everything is so hunky-dory for the NFL. The league along with NBC is having a bit of a problem selling out Super Bowl commerical time. I was thinking of buying a 30-second spot this year to promote my books, but when I read that the asking price went up $500,000 to $4.5 million, I realized my advertising budget would've been completely blown by February 1st.
Oh, yeah, and if you didn't see this Deadspin piece about the "investigation" into the 49ers' Ray McDonald and his domestic abuse charges, you should. Guilty or not, it's another great example of how NFL Security really operates.

Eagles (better team) raped the Panthers.
Out of 13 games between Thursday and Monday, only one true upset happened (Jets over the Steelers) and one 1/2 upset as the Browns beat the Bengals (Browns are playing better this year while the Bengals suck this year, so not a true full upset).
Even if you were to try and claim 49ers over the Saints and Chiefs over the Bills as upsets, and say the Browns over the Bengals was a true full upset, then you'd have a grand total of 4 upsets out of 13 games. HARDLY "upset Sunday".
Better luck next time kiddo. Maybe mother can help you out next time.

Good news for NFL script writers: you finally wrote a script for a Thursday night game that isn't over at halftime.
Bad news for NFL script writers: no one wants to watch two mediocre teams trade field goals.
Conclusion: the viewership for this snooze fest probably isn't any better than it has been for all the blowouts.

nor will you be able to believe it when I wont be wrong. I know I'm right about what I've covered here in the first place. At some point you will mature and realize that.
But of course the trendy thing is about my predictions being right or not. Yes, Smooth with his basic math skills thinks the Cards are shoe ins. Look at who's beat who for the tie breaker. The NFC south will only have one team in.
Denver beats Arizona and SF -loses to Seattle and the Rams ( that's as big a rip off as the Jets game anyway LOL) but was needed to push the Cards down at the end of season.
Cardinals lose to Denver
Atlanta beats the saints but loses to the Giants- Atlanta plays Cards later on. Yes I expect an Atlanta win.
the point is thats just a taste of the parity web the NFL is spinning to push the Cards down.
the Cards could lose all their remaining division games plus the rest or even go 10-6 and still miss the play offs like last year. all the while, all the winning and losing needed for the Giants to get in could well happen LOL
the Giants could get in with an 8-8 record ......
One would think that an NFL team that finishes with a double-digit win total in the regular season should be fairly safe in knowing they qualify for the playoffs. Actually history shows that since the NFL expanded to a 16-game schedule in 1978, there have been 20 teams that have posted a record of 10-6 or better who failed to join the postseason chase for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Nine of those teams have done so since 1990 when the playoff format increased to include six teams per conference. Two of those 20 teams finished 11-5 yet didn't make the playoffs. The Denver Broncos (pictured) posted an 11-5 record in 1985 which placed them one game behind the Los Angeles Raiders in the AFC West. Denver lost out on the playoffs via tie breakers to the New York Jets and New England Patriots who also posted 11-5 records that season. The Jets entered the postseason as the first wild-card based on a better conference record than the Patriots or Broncos. New England trumped Denver for the second wild-card based on a better record among common opponents. Adding insult to injury for the 11-5 Broncos was the fact that the Cleveland Browns won the AFC Central that season with an 8-8 mark. The Patriots suffered a similar fate in 2008 when they finished 11-5 and missed the playoffs while the 8-8 San Diego Chargers won the AFC West. Although New England had the identical record as Miami and Baltimore, they lost out on the division crown to the Dolphins and the second wild-card spot to the Ravens based on conference records. - See more at: http://www.profootballhof.com/history/2013/12/24/fact-or-fiction-an-11-5-team-has-missed-the-playoffs/#sthash.gWKXEEiG.dpuf

I don't have to show you anything. The argument isn't whether I make picks, its whether or not games are staged. The fact is I know just as much as you do as to who is supposed to be considered the better team but I am learning to get a feel for when they want to fool you. Before or after doesn't matter. The fact is the whole piint is people want to be right and I was right and everyone else who thinks they know football was wrong. They then excuse it as "anything can happen" which is dumb because its not true in any aspect of life that anything can happen. When something that is too good to be true keeps happening that means it is too good to be true and intelligent people don't fall for the same crap over and over again.
Its amazing how asleep everyone is. 4 rookie QBs take their team to the playoffs 2 years ago and everyone just shrugs their shoulders and believes it. People are gullible lemmings.

So the whole point of the play was for Eli to throw it high so Odel could make an unbelievable catch? and the ref knew this and threw the flag in case he dropped it? Yeeeeaaaahhhhh!!! the NFL may be scripted but it's not that scripted.
Oh and if you study the film of that catch the way you say that you do, you can clearly see the defender pull him by the jersey..... I'm thinking that's why the flag was thrown.

Watching the replay right now on Sportscenter, you can CLEARLY see the defender grabbing onto his jersey and damn near pulling Beckham out of bounds with him. The only reason that circus catch was needed was because of the pass interference by the defender.
But of course, the jersey grabbing and blatant pass interference by the defender (who knew he was getting beaten by Beckham and grabbed the jersey out of desperation) had absolutely nothing to do with the flag being thrown. Nope, the flag was thrown for no other reason than to reward Beckham and the Giants in case he didn't come down with the pass. :eyeroll:

The Giants are still going to be alive next week too since they play Jacksonville........ Of course this does mean that either Philly or Dallas have to lose every single game the rest of the way and since Seattle or San Fran is getting to 8 wins after this week the winner of that game has to go 0-4 the rest of the way out. I guess anything can happen.

you are incredibly uneducated. The Defender grabbed him on purpose for the express purpose of a penalty but they are jocks who show off for each other. You don't find it slightly interesting that they are showing him doing pregame practice catches and then that happens...and for the record, those gloves make it a heck of a lot easier. Doesn't make the catch that much less great but its not as hard as you think either. They already showed you how easy it is to one hand catch with those gloves.

Also, Giants are already screwed, even if they aren't mathematically eliminated. The best record the Giants can do is 8-8. Dallas at worse can go 8-8 and Dallas holds the tiebreaker over the Giants for the division by winning both games. And seeing as Dallas and Philadelphia still play each other twice, one of those teams is guaranteed at least 9 wins anyway, so the Giants are already eliminated from the NFC East race, the best they can do is a wild card.
In that case, Arizona is already guaranteed to get in over the Giants by way of already having 9 wins. Seattle and San Francisco both still play each other twice, so one team is guaranteed at least 8 wins regardless, and both San Francisco and Seattle beat the New York Giants, so the Giants automatically lose out on head to head tiebreakers. Detroit ALSO beat the Giants head to head and is guaranteed to get at least one more win, so they'll reach 8 wins and have the tiebreaker over the Giants.
So while the Giants are "still alive" due to there not being multiple 8 win teams yet, it is already impossible for them to get a playoff spot. They'll be officially eliminated after this week's games when more teams reach 8 or 9 wins. Try disproving THOSE FACTS!

Well, I'm putting the challenge on Ram. I just went through ESPN's Playoff Machine trying to simulate the rest of the season and find someway to get the Giants in the playoffs. I haven't found a single scenario yet. Regardless of who I have winning and losing, the Giants will always lose out of a playoff spot to San Francisco/Seattle (whoever doesn't win the NFC West), Chicago, Detroit, Arizona or Philadelphia/Dallas (whoever doesn't win the NFC East). I have not found a single possible way for the Giants to get in even at 8-8.
But since Ram said the Giants are a LOCK to make the playoffs, fine, lets see him prove how they'll make it in.

I guess while focusing solely on Detroit (and their magical 5 game losing streak they're about to go on along with apparently half of the rest of the league), you missed the fact that Seattle and San Francisco play twice. So one of them is guaranteed 8 wins.
Combine that with Arizona's already 9 wins and since Arizona is apparently still going to miss the playoffs because heaven forbid a Super Bowl host make the playoffs, that means both Seattle and San Francisco will beat Arizona in these final weeks, putting both over 8 wins and eliminating the Giants from the wild card thanks to head to head tiebreakers.
It's simple numbers sockboy. The number of 7 and 8 win teams playing each other these final weeks will put MULTIPLE teams at 8-9 or more wins come the end of the season. ALL of those teams hold the head to head tiebreaker over the Giants. The Giants can't get more than 8 wins, and they can't magically get the head to head tiebreaker eliminated from the tiebreaking procedures. THEY ARE DONE.

That thing doesn't assume anything. You can manually pick who wins each game. I picked the Giants to win every remaining game, the Lions and Cardinals to lose every remaining game, the Cowboys to sweep the Eagles and the Seahawks to sweep the 49ers. The Giants end up out of the playoffs to the Cardinals, 49ers, Seahawks, Bears, Lions, Cowboys and/or Eagles EVERY SINGLE TIME.

no, the point is you sell what will sell and what is selling. Theres no interest in Sanchez or Stanton making it because they don't even have fans. either the Saints or Panthers will get in,thats a given but for the scenario to play out obviously only one of them gets to with such weak records that lends itself to a wild card elsewhere.

are you still 13 years old ? theres obviously only 2 games that matter and we know who has to win those. That aside,it doesn't matter if I get a majority right as long as that scenario plays out. After 3 years of childish rants it's time for you to grow up.
you seriously cant find the scenario that benefits the Giants and pushes down the cards ?
SF goes 10-6 or better and seattle is above cards at 10-6 each or 9-7 and at 9-7 even the Rams might get in either teams way with all the division interchange games coming up. So either Seattle or rams get the wild card and Arizona is sharing 3rd or 4th place with seattle or STL. ..so like last year they go 10-6 and still miss the playoffs. Green bay wins their division outright with Detroit at 7-9. NFC south = one team obviously at 7-9 or 8-8 and NY beat Atlanta so its better with Atlanta in second place and a 8-8 record...I'm sure I'm missing plenty but it all works out in the end

You clearly have no understanding of how teams have specific games they have to play and how head to head tiebreakers work. If the 49ers finish 10-6 or better, And Seattle is 10-6 or 9-7, that eliminates the Giants right there. SF (10-6) wins the West, Seattle (10-6 or 9-7) claims one wildcard slot and Arizona (at worst 9-7) claims the second wildcard slot. The Giants, at 8-8, cannot get into the playoffs except through a wildcard slot. Dallas already has 8 wins and has won both games they played against the Giants, so at absolute best, the Giants finish second to the Cowboys, even if both finish 8-8. And even in that case, the Eagles win the division since they will have beaten Dallas to get 9 or more wins. My god you really are dense. :fp:

at Washington (L - 10-5 or 8-7)
vs. Indianapolis (L - 10-5 or 8-7)
at St. Louis (W - 7-8)
17
at New York Giants (L - 10-6 or 8-8)
at Washington (L - 10-6 or 8-8)
vs. Philadelphia (W - 8-8)
Dallas vs. New York Giants - 2-0 (Dallas finishes first ahead of NYG due to Head to Head tiebreaker)
Philadelphia vs. New York Giants - 1-1 (Giants finish ahead of Philadelphia but behind Dallas)
So, we have just proven without a doubt that nothing the NY Giants do, they can't win the NFC East. Now lets move onto the wild cards.
Arizona (worst case - 9-7) (hold head to head tiebreaker vs. Giants)
Key Games - at St. Louis, vs. Seattle, at San Francisco
Green Bay (worst case - 8-8)
Key Games - vs. New England, at Buffalo, vs. Detroit
Philadelphia (worst case - 8-8 (if lose to Dallas twice) or 10-6 (if beat Dallas twice)
Key Games - at Dallas, vs. Seattle, vs. Dallas, at NY Giants
Dallas (worst case - 8-8 (if lose to Philly twice) or 10-6 (if beat Philly twice) (hold head to head tiebreaker vs. Giants)
Key Games - vs. Philadelphia, at Philadelphia
Seattle (worst case - 8-8 (if lose to San Francisco twice) or 10-6 (if beat San Francisco twice) (hold head to head tiebreaker vs. Giants)
Key Games - at San Francisco, at Philadelphia, vs. San Francisco, at Arizona, vs. St. Louis
San Francisco (worst case - 8-8 (if lose to Seattle twice) or 10-6 (if beat Seattle twice) (hold head to head tiebreaker vs. Giants)
Key Games - vs. Seattle, at Seattle, vs. Arizona
Detroit (worst case - 7-9) (hold head to head tiebreaker vs. Giants)
Key Games - vs. Chicago, at Chicago, at Green Bay
Chicago (worst case - 5-11)
Key Games - at Detroit, vs. Dallas, vs. Detroit
New York Giants (best case - 8-8) (hold head to head tiebreaker vs. NO ONE)
Key Games - at St. Louis, vs. Philadelphia
So please, I BEG YOU, please, pray tell what magical combination of wins and losses in those key games will somehow allow the New York Giants to somehow magically bypass the head to head tiebreaker system and claim a wild card spot. With those worst case records, Arizona wins the NFC West, Green Bay or Detroit wins the NFC North, it doesn't matter who wins the NFC South because they all suck, Dallas or Philadelphia wins the NFC East.
Assuming Green Bay and Dallas win their divisions, the playoffs will look like this:
#1 Seed - Arizona (9-7) (NFC West Champ)
#2 Seed - Green Bay (8-8) NFC North Champ)
#3 Seed - Dallas (8-8 (NFC East Champ)
#4 Seed - NFC South Champ (with whatever terrible record they will have)
#5 Seed - Philadelphia, Seattle or San Francisco (all 8-8) (hold head to head tiebreakers over New York Giants)
#6 Seed - Philadelphia, Seattle or San Francisco (all 8-8) (hold head to head tiebreakers over New York Giants)
#7 Rank - Philadelphia, Seattle or San Francisco (all 8-8) (hold head to head tiebreakers over New York Giants)
#8 Rank - New York Giants (8-8)
#9 Rank - Detroit (7-9)
#10 Rank - Chicago (5-11)
Assuming Philadelphia and Detroit win their divisions, the playoffs will look like this:
#1 Seed - Arizona (9-7) (NFC West Champ)
#2 Seed - Philadelphia (8-8) (NFC East Champ)
#3 Seed - Detroit (8-8 or better) NFC North Champ)
#4 Seed - NFC South Champ (with whatever terrible record they will have)
#5 Seed - Dallas, Green Bay, Seattle or San Francisco (all 8-8) (hold head to head tiebreakers over New York Giants)
#6 Seed - Dallas, Green Bay, Seattle or San Francisco (all 8-8) (hold head to head tiebreakers over New York Giants)
#7 Rank - Dallas, Green Bay, Seattle or San Francisco (all 8-8) (hold head to head tiebreakers over New York Giants)
#8 Rank - Dallas, Green Bay, Seattle or San Francisco (all 8-8) (hold head to head tiebreakers over New York Giants)
#9 Rank - New York Giants (8-8)
#10 Rank - Chicago (5-11)
Maybe that will help clear things up for your dense skull.

You know, it's amazing. That NFL Playoff Machine that Ram so densely denounces because it breaks his little fantasy, this guy was able to do all sorts of things with it.
http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/101889298/espn-playoff-machine-nfl-postseason-scenarios-patriots-cowboys-cardinals-jets
He got the Jets in the playoffs, the JAGUARS (at 7-9), 2-8 Tampa Bay as a #2 SEED! He even got Washington in as a #2 seed, he got Buffalo the #1 seed in the AFC, along with the Browns as #1. He got Arizona completely missing the playoffs. He got a set up where Denver, New England, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis all MISS the playoffs.
And yet, not a SINGLE one of those show the New York Giants making the playoffs, nor any feasible, possible way for the Giants to make the playoffs.
But of course, we're all uneducated. Somehow the New York Giants are going to turn the entire NFL playoff system and tiebreaker system on its entire head and somehow slide into the playoffs, because the enlightened Ram says so, even those he has thus far refused to show, provide or prove a single shred of evidence as to the contrary.

The problem is, from what I've read, that ram does not understand that BOTH wildcards can come from the same division and that the reason an 8-8 team sometimes gets in over, say, a 10-6 team is because the 8-8 team won their division and ALL division winners get in regardless of record.
The Giants cannot win their division and can therefore ONLY qualify as a wildcard. In order for that to happen, they have to be one of the 2 best non-division winners in the NFC. At a best-case 8-8, that won't happen.

:fp:

interesting...LOL this is fantastic !
it appears the Cards could make the playoffs as a 5th seed and they are the ones who help the Giants get in at 6th. In that case the Cards do make the playoffs but of course they wont be a threat once in.( host cities don't make it into SBs and that's all I care about). I wonder what combination of games is i'm missing that changes that ?
NFC Tiebreakers
1st Seed - Dallas
NFC East Champ
Wins tie break over Green Bay based on best win percentage in common games.
4th Seed - Atlanta
NFC South Champ (Wins tie break over New Orleans based on head-to-head win percentage.)
6th Seed - NY Giants
Wins tie break over St. Louis based on head-to-head win percentage. Division tie break was initially used to eliminate Philadelphia (NY Giants wins tie break over Philadelphia based on best win percentage in division games). Division tie break was initially used to eliminate Seattle (St. Louis wins tie break over Seattle based on head-to-head win percentage).

I guess you forgot that Philadelphia and Seattle play in week 14. If Seattle wins, they become an 8 win team (even losing every other game) and get in ahead of the Giants due to head to head tiebreaker), and if Philadelphia wins, they reach 9 wins and get in ahead of the Giants due to having more wins (just as Dallas gets in ahead of the Giants regardless due to a 2-0 head to head record against the Giants. IT's IMPOSSIBLE. Damn you're dense!

I'm going to laugh when lowly Jacksonville wins to kill the ridiculous NYG talk.

what you are trying to say is you hope the bet you made is right this time.

That makes no sense. I picked the Giants to lose in my Survival pool two weeks in a row and was correct.
