They banned me last year because i said EA had too many white players as recruits at the skill positions. It was a factual statement.

You took a step toward racial conversations and they were afraid of a South Park, Cartman induced race war. I noticed that though in my brief time with recruiting last season. I didn't really pay due attention to NCAA last year. I'm just getting into College ball (please don't crucify me) and felt that the game deserved more of my attention this year, rather than trading it as soon as Madden drops

Hey guys I most definitely appreciate the hard work.. I remember back in 03 as a freshman in college with the time to input all the names for NCAA 04. I don't see how you do it but I give much praise and respect to yall fellas for doing this. I frequent OS as well but I never realized how bad they were when it comes to banning people and overreacting. I did see that your roster thread over there was locked last night but now I see the ridiculousness of it all. We COMPLETELY underestimated the time its going to take to do the edits. After naming and making major edits to 120 teams, I guess you forget. Both of us were going on little sleep and were working at a pace that was getting nothing done. Buckeye is going back to work tommorrow, but I will be on it first thing in the morning. Hopefully a fresh body can start knocking down these edits at a faster pace.

We are battling the pathetic shape of EAs default rosters and that we want the Memphis and Wyoming fans to be impressed. We want to give the same effort for each and every team. Theres no reason to release a roster set with half of the teams done in detail and half not.

Hopefully I will have a true release time by tommorrow afternoon as I start finishing off some teams at a better pace. The amount of players that shouldnt be on the rosters in insane.

I could barely hold my eyes open as I was attempting to knock out Memphis, which is one of the worst rosters in the game. Then the f*cking power went out for about 10 minutes. I mustered up the strength to turn everything back on and get half-way through Memphis again before I literally fell asleep sitting there with controller in hand.

Got up and wrote this before trying to get a planned 4-5 hours of sleep.

I will make a new post tommorrow concerning corrections templates for anyone wanting to help make their favorite team more accurate. For example: A Washington State fan can make a more accurate Wazzou roster that a diehard Gator fan who bleeds orange and blue.

My sole purpose for living is to watch the Gators play on Saturday. Period.

Just come over from OS. Can't wait for the roster. Just played Oregon (me) vs. Standford and won 39 - 17. Had two picks in the 4 that I turned into TD. Its great now but will be amazing with rosters!!!!

First off, may God bless y'all for the time you're taking on this, you're truly awesome. Now, anybody know how/where I may be able to comment to EA for future reference on the game? More specifically, I've watched year after year how my Fightin' Texas Aggies get passed up on any and all things updated in the game...no cannon - when the Parsons Mounted Cavalry is much more of a TX tradition than the Cowboy poser cannon shooters at texas university, no mascot - where Reveille is a as much a live mascot as any. I know I'm biased on the subject and understand that the creators, as well as the majority of the College Football Nation, couldn't care less about the atmosphere on Saturday in College Station, TX, but even after a pretty decent season last year and a renowned University in every household considering tradition/atmosphere, we still didn't get half as much as any other TX school. I apologize for a long question for a short answer

I can see why this would be such a huge undertaking. I posted a Utah template and our top three Rb and top Fb on the game aren't on the real rosters. In fact, I just posted the real roster because EA jacked it up so bad it would probably be easier to start it over! I can appreciate that as I am rolling with the Akron Zips in my dynasty. Rated 120 out of 120 on the game, it's nice to see that even the small schools teams are getting the same love as Ohio State and Notre Dame. Thanks guys

This is my 1st year actually having the Current Gen system, but I agree. I love anything that can make the game more "authentic."

The Blue is great. It kind've bothers me that other schools are now doing a copy-cat idea of their own colors. Eastern Washington is Red, a school in CT did a Blue Turf, I saw Central Arkansas did a Grey and Purple one...

Boise didn't do it as a gimmick, they did it as an original idea, and because the AD thought if they were gonna spend 750,000 on a new field, they might as well do something different and unique.

There are still teams with missing players here and there. Figuring out why that player is MIA can be difficult at times. There are about 20 teams that we founf out that were completely in shambles.

People will always copy great ideas, just remember that. But at least you guys can rest assured that you were the originators. Honestly I was surprised more teams hadn't done it just because of 1) Like you said, if theyre gonna spend the money then why not have fun with it and 2) It adds character & fits with the pageantry that is a college game day.

Not to go too off topic, but I imagine a lot of people waiting for these rosters has played Road to Glory. If so, did anyone else get annoyed as I did at not being able to call Audibles as a starting QB? "I'm sorry Coach, but Speed Option on 3rd and 15 when theyre blitzing the outside corners just doesn't seem like the best idea to me."

Reason being is because these Mods over there have 30,000+ Posts (some of them), and I can assure you they didn't ever get the attention that Buck and/or Gator are getting...from the "Thank you's" to the "How can I donate to your PayPal??" etc., etc.

i agree - i think that's why these two guys are going nuts and making it thorough. if they weren't worried about mistakes ect. we'd have a roster by now. they're doing the right thing.

It's pretty simple really....
Remeber "Magic Eye" in the back of newspapers? And how if you looked at it for too long you got a little 'dizzy' (to say the least)? Well times that by 100! Your brain is use to seeing green grass (... or just dirt depending on where you live LoL). Having such a drastic, bold color such as red or blue at that magnitude thrown at you is gonna cause a few problems the first few times around it. The home team has a significant advantage, they're used to it. Fist time visitors to a newley colored field should prepare for a very challenging experience. Even more so when you have a talented team on your hands.

Perfect example: We're all use to playing PS3 on tv's ranging anywhere from 20-70 inches. Imagine trying to play games like NCAA 12 or COD on a movie theatre sized screen. Your brain would have serious trouble processing info acurately without some practice.

i can see where other ppl are coming from with the whole i cant wait any longer etc. but like you said gator and block o dont owe us anything. they do this for themselves and choose to share with the community, which is much appreciated btw. as someone who has done rosters in the past, as im sure many of us did until we found gator and block o the amount of time that goes into them is overwhelming. and i never did edits/equipment/depth charts etc except florida, theyre doing 120 teams.

Yeah bro, I got Banned at OS.

I was always cordial with everyone there, respectful and all that. Even when I was wrong about something, acknowledged the person that got me on the right path, etc., and went about my business.

So after they closed Buck and Gator's Thread over there last night...I got annoyed and didn't say anything. I thought it was odd because we didn't do anything "wrong," even if we went "Off-Topic" or whatever they want to call it over there.

So like I said though, I just help my tongue and watched it all unfold. I woke up this morning wondering where the new Thread would be (because of the ETA we were given by Buck and Gator), and I saw that someone else had written a Thread entitled "Why is Buck and Gator's Thread closed??"

A few people including myself finally spoke our mind at OS. I said the Mods there were a bunch of overprivileged babies, and that The Gaming Tailgate was more relaxed and had a better atmosphere.

The Thread got Closed, I got a TOS, told the guys here about it, only to Refresh my page and see "You have been banned. Date of ban to be lifted: Never."

That's pretty much the story, and I'm happy to be here.

This is what Buckeye posted at OS if you hadn't seen it yet!!

Sadly the new thread didnt go up last night. I think we severly over estimated the ammount of work that was left. We did get a bunch of edits done after all of the teams were named. Like.....every player listed in the dread thread now has dreads in our roster file.

I'm back at my house and have to go back to the real world today. Gator has the file and will continue to make edits later today. I can't give you guys an ETA because the amount of editing left is still unknown and i dont want to push back aanother ETA.

As the roster file sits right now.....it is good enough to satisfy almost everyone, but thats not why we are doing them. We want the fans of the smaller schools to be just as impressed with the work put in as the Texas', Notre Dame, and the Alabama's of the world.

I just ask for you guys to be patient. We do have a roster file.....and it is awesome.

I started using them last year and was floored at the attention to detail. Not to mention how quickly they get them done. Glad to be here though, you guys have a nice place here. Are these hardwoods floors?

his acceleration is absolutely fine, but i've broken some long runs only to be chased down by defensive backs. If it doesn't get changed it's whatever, but it would be nice to have a 3 point bump from an 88 to 91 on speed. but the main thing is that his rating reflects his 40 time. if its an 88 than so be it.

I know y'all have worked wicked hard on these and must be itching to get them just about as much as everyone else.

I bet there's a ton of pride involved and y'all have a great way of doing things but at this point do you think it would be a bad idea to release the rosters. As Buck said at OS the rosters are hood to please 95% of people and are just flat awesome. Why not let the diehards elp you refine them. There's only so much knowledge and research that can go into it without getting a few things wrong. The diehard fans know their teams best and that way of there are corrections they can send them in, in a corrections thread. Help you guys get some shut eye and relaxation and work at a much slower pace going forward.

That way the people that are sending these endless repetitive corrections can actually see what needs correcting. Let people have a shot at them, give you guys a break and let the people with the overwhelming knowledge of each team help make a final draft copy of the rosters in say like a week.

You've appeased the masses, get help and maybe some sleep. I know theirs gotta be a lot of pride and integrity that goes into what y'all do. It just seems at this point you could use the masses to your advantage.

Hey, just wanted to check in over here after the thread was closed over at OS. I remember using your rosters the last two years and I have posted dynasties on numerous sites. Definitely cannot wait to play with the rosters you guys are putting together.

Gator, as soon as you get that list together of teams you need updates for, I will be all over it. I am not working the next two days and would love to help as I can. Hopefully we can get this done by Friday and I can spend next weekend getting my UCLA dynasty going!

Its like you can only use the rosters once and then they dont show up again for the next time you want to use them. Im constantly re-downloading them

I dont think OSU or buckeye wants Urban Meyer. Hes not 100% and wont be able to put together a staff worth a damn. That staff that Florida had from 06-08 was INSANE. Look how many current Div 1 head coaches were on that staff. If Meyer came back at 100% at OSU, he would win the Big 10 every year without even trying. Meyer needs a staff though.

Let me set a few things straight before I get on the grind:

- The old man put his hands on me first, then got dropped. Older folks gotta realize that just because you got a youth on age, dont mean that you cant get your ass kicked by a young buck.

-FSU aka Clown U wont beat UF again. Bozo fans can thank Moses Jenkins for last years win. The guy cant cover me, plus he was playing with one arm. Reed and Burton would get us down the field, then Brantley would come in a throw a pick. And why Clown College? Look at their logo, its a guy with his face painted like a clown. The fans do the same.

-Wendys is chargin, and Taco Bell out here is nasty.

-Tennessee fans give me hell from the first week of Sept about how they will beat us this year. They beat some weak team in the their first game and get pumped up. Then UF beats them and they dont care about football anymore. I hate Tennessee Vols with a passion. I have the T logo in the bottom of my toilet. The only SEC team I do not root for in OOC games.

-Earlier I mentioned pain pills, NOT tylenol. Thats for housewives. Im talking big boy stuff. Gona make this grind today easier. No more talk about that.

If the spring game was any sort of indication, Brantley will be on the pine by the UT game. Muschamp needs to win, Meyer couldve went 6-7 and got a raise after those two titles.

Any team that gets Urban Meyer will be fine as long as Addazio doesnt come with. I give him 2 or 3 years at Temple. Maybe more since Temple is used to winning 1-2 games a year. If they want to go back to the old Temple, then they got the man for the job.

I had to waste 15 minutes dealing with PayPal, they are double-charging me for everything Ive used my card over the past week. I for one am tired of hearing how EA messed up every teams' roster... We get it - it doesn't need to be brought up anymore... You weren't happy with EA's assessment of the random numbers they put in different positions on your team's roster. They do not put that much effort into it anymore so expect them to not be up to your standards for years to come... They are just applying attributes to avatars now - they can probably only have a certain percentage "resembling" actual players now... Please Stop Complaining About It...
