This. Is. Interesting.
This band is absolutely legendary in Houston, when it comes to metal. I was fortunate enough to have seen them 20 or 30 times in the early 90s, before they broke up. Sadly, for the rest of the world, internal issues kept them from reaching a worldwide audience though they had numerous opportunities to do so (Phil Anselmo of Pantera was among their biggest fans back in the day).
Anyway, they recently started playing again and their second show since reforming was last Saturday and I was able to see the mighty dead horse again.
Such a unique band. They blurred the line between thrash and death metal and added their own unique Texas twist. For those so inclined, enjoy!

17 years after the release of their last studio album, death metal/grindcore/goregrind legends, Carcass are set to release a new album in 2013. I'm pumped! Along with Slayer, Carcass is an all-time favorite for me.

The news that they will be at the Maryland Deathfest makes not going this year depressing, lol.

Motherfucker, these guys are coming to Pittsburgh and Columbus in February... I wish I knew someone to go with
I'd want to see Animals as Leaders since they open for them... though not sure how an instrumental rock show would go. For some reason in my mind I picture something completely different than a typical band show.
Speaking of instrumental rock... been listening to a lot of Souvenir's Young America lately. Still trying to decide which is my favorite but this is certainly up there..
I am so pumped that Carcass is putting out another album, 17 years after their last.

Old, but GREAT. It's a shame that none of you will appreciate this for what it is.

If anyone is a fan of "A Day to Remember" they have kept their album a secret and are releasing it on December 21, 2012. I can't wait to hear it, here is the trailer:

In This Moment is both awesome and horrible at the same time. They're like the music equivalent of a train wreck. I can't turn away.
Well, except from that one.

Not sure why they don't play this version on the radio Audio NSFW
Live From Daryl's House is a great show. Some great performances on there.
